I purchased a Used Volvo from Toyota Oxmoor last August. Since the purchase of the vehicle I have spent over $2000 in repairs. Repairs which the dealership refused to help with. When you purchase a used car from toyota oxmoor they come "used car certified." Meaning there is a list of all of the vehicle parts that have been inspected and proven to be safe, making the vehicle a certified used car. As I was inspecting my car at the dealership I noticed that the antifreeze was very low. I pointed that out to my dealer and he laughed at me, like I was a stupid girl, and told me they would fill it up. Aside from that the car appeared to be perfect. The dealer promised that if there was a problem within the first week we would work something out. The next day, there was a problem. When I came home the antifreeze was low again. I took the car to a volvo servicer to have the car inspected just in case. What I found was more than an antifreeze problem. Among the fact that there was a hole in the antifreeze container, the turbo engines were leaking oil, the rearview mirror had liquid flowing through it and the o rings were cracked, thus leaking fuel. Obviously this car is not "certified!" I immediatly called the dealer about this problem. But I could not get a hold of anybody. I called and called. I would be put on hold and they would hang up. Eventually I decided to come in to the dealer myself. The manager tells me basically that the car did not have a warranty so there is nothing they will do for me. No repairs, nothing. My dealer tells me that "well it does have some miles on it." Completely ignoring the fact that whether it has some miles or not, he told me repeatedly how dependable it was and how it was certified. I paid for all of the repairs. Three months later, my title finally arrives...my name is spelled wrong...do not purchase from this dealer. This is just the beginning for me. I've heard so many other stories since I purchased the vehicle that it scares me that they still are allowed to sell cars.
