Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This Top Gun bunch sold one of their super savers to me. I went to the shop and they said they had told the scambags to stop selling them over a year ago. Top Gun Promotions is in deep doo doo with the FTC. According to the FTC they have to provide a receipt, as well as two copies of a return form. I sure didn't get either one. I am betting the FTC shuts them down.

Complete Scam

This Joe Gast guy is in some really hot water.

His company has no less than 700,000 compaints and reports lodged with the FTC and BBB. They are currently being investigated by the State of Texas for improper business practices with evidence gathered in the numerous complaints.

My story is a little different. I remember the kid that came to my door and I told him I understand he has a job to do, but with all do respect, I have to laugh. I did not give him (or anyone else that knocks on my door) my CC info, but somehow, somewhere the claim they charged $150 to my credit card, but the purchase did not go through.
I had no idea I was even charged anything until I get a collections call. I immediately called my CC company and my identity monitoring service. Neither could find a charge that was being described by the collection agent. For what it's worth, the only credit card I have has a $10,000 limit with a $0 balance. I was told by both my CC company and Lifelock that it is a scam and to just ignore their calls, but it's hard to ignore 2 calls a week for 6 months.
Of course the guy that came to my door no longer works for the company anymore and they will absolutely not contact you by phone.
After filling out litterally 87 "contact me" requests over a 6-month span on autocaresupersavers.com, I had my lawyer email them. What do you know? Not even 10 minutes after my lawyer emails, I get an response from Mr. Gast. He isn't the slightest bit concerned about the problem. I ask him to call me, he refuses (all phone and email correspondence is recorded). He then tells me he is going to look into it, forgive me for not believing him. I am flying to Dallas to speak with Mr. Gast in person (chances are he'll avoid me, but I'll find him).
Mr. Gast, there is nothing legitimate or even somewhat legitmate about Top Gun Promotions. You are running a scam and you will pay for it; legally or otherwise. Here is testimony from a former employee: http://www.ripoffreport.com/auto-repair-service/top-gun-promotions/top-gun-promotions-tried-to-c-pe648.htm . DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY...EVER. I DIDN'T BUY FROM THEM BUT I'M STILL GOING THROUGH THE SAME SH*T AS SOMEONE WHOE DID. Im running an IP trace on the few positive review on this company and so far I'm 1/1 for tracing the favorable review back to an employee or former employee.

We strive to make every customer a satisfied customer. I cannot explain why we have 4 complaints except the fact that we sell thousands of cards per montha and over the past 20 years that amounts to hundreds of thousands and to have just 4 complaints is extremenly low. Please understand these customers that may have complained most likely were taken care of. we do not leave any customer upset, and do our very best to handle any concerns they may have. keep in mind since we represent many different clients across the country sometimes if one of our clients does not follow their by thier agreements/contracts with us it can cause us to have a complaint. Search walmart on here or best buy and although i shop there and believe those companies are very reputable they have thousands of complaints. Thanks Jim for your time to discuss your concerns, we take every one very seriouslly.

A door to door salesman that can not utilize proper spelling or punctuation. Imagine that! The uneducated and criminals have the same traits. Can you explain the massive amount of dissatisfaction and complaints all across the internet? Reputable companies may have one or two complaints, but you guys are incredible! For those consumers who may be victim of this scam, please check them out at the BBB website and read all the complaints. Wow.

The solution is simple: Don't do business with "Top Gun Promotions" and Don't buy an "Auto Care Super Saver"

They are the lowest of the low. Very unprofessional on every level--from dealing with the shops, to their discriminatory hiring practices. Oftentimes they represent shops with very reputations and people end up having hundreds of dollars of damage done---all for taking their car in for an oil change! Shops oftentimes go out of business and then Top Gun's shoddy customer service takes forever to get back to people and often does not offer their money back or any solid solutions. They are highly manipulative and unfair people with highly abusive practices. It's also very much a pyramid scheme. They do not do any background checks on their employees ("subcontractors"), so that person knocking at your door could very well be a convicted child molester or drug addict. Many of their "subcontractors" actually do have criminal backgrounds----after all, being a "door-to-door" salesperson is not exactly attractive work. Then they also do a good job of trying to take advantage of high school or college students----often hiring people just to throw them out there for a few days to see if they can make a few sales here and there. They will flier parking lots which end up getting littered----they do this despite many complaints and requests that they not do this. They also advertise in apartment complexes---urging their "subcontractors" to break laws and trespass in order to push a $90 coupon to a place that may or may not be in business and may or may not offer good service. Ultimately, the days of the door-to-door salesman are gone. In this day and age, it's just not worth the risk to open your door to strangers----especially strangers who ask for your credit card number! My advice? Do not work for "Top Gun Promotion" - and don't open their door if they knock, and certainly do not buy an "Auto Care Super Saver!"

Your choose of words and unprofessionalism are obvious and your probably just a part of the service centers ridiculous claims. why dont you give your address or phone number or contact information and ill look up and see if you really purchased a membership. Our company has contracts to sell the memberships on the service centers behalf. Your inablity to look into both sides of the situation and draw conclusions based on little information which is untrue make me believe your intentions are misguided. We have sold over 3 mllion memberships nationwide over the past 20 years and have sttod behind every one of them and made sure every customer receives what they purchased.

Too bad I can't believe you Mr. con man. I have been doing research on your company and you have a poor track record with the BBB as well as numerous FTC complaints. I don't understand how you could blame a shop for not wanting to have anything to do with you and your scam. There have been several other shops with similiar complaints against your scheme. I am certain the Federal Trade Commission will hang your asses for your fraud! Eric

The truth of the matter

#15REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thank you for your comment Eric but there are 2 sides to every story and you deserve to hear the truth and WE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU EVEN IF RM TIRES WONT!!Top Gun Promotions has had a contract with RM Tires since June of 2006 giving us the authorization to sell the autocaresupersaver memberships for RM Tires. The contract was signed with the GM/Owner named Ralph. In the contract it states RM Tires agrees to honor all super savers sold and does not receive any of the proceeds from the sales of the super saver cards.Top Gun Promotions pays for all the printing and distribution of the super savers. RM Tires has been gladly accepting the auto care super saver cards for 1 year and approximately 6 months. Top Gun Promotions received a call from a SCOTTY around feb 8 th asking top gun promotions to quit selling the membership cards. Scotty informed us that Ralph was no longer with their company and we at that time (feb 9th, 2008) agreed to temporally stop selling new super saver cards until we could have a meeting with RM Tires to discuss the promotion. RM Tires has a LEGAL obligation to honor ALL the memberships sold through Feb, 9th 2008. Meaning if a customer purchased a membership on feb 7th 2008 that customer would have 1 year to use the super saver card and RM Tires has a LEGAL obligation to honor that membership until its expiration of FEB 8, 2009. My name is Joe Gast VP of sales for Top Gun Promotions. I have been with the company since 1991 and RM Tires just like over 500 other major service centers nationwide signed a contract with Top Gun Promotions and we have worked very hard to sell super saver cards over the past year and a half for RM tires and it is their obligation to honor the memberships and take care of EVERY customer that purchased a card. Top Gun Promotions will nor issue ANY refunds based on SCOTTY's decision to all of a sudden after 1.5 years of honoring the memberships to just say " we were not paid and we wont honor the cards" There is not any Legal obligation for Top Gun Promotions to pay RM Tires any monies for the super savers sold as noted in our contract with RM Tires. Top Gun Promotions has been in business for over 20 years and is very well respected in the service center industry and WILL NOT put up with any Service Center, or its employees, making FALSE claims and telling customers we and or our products are a scam. RM Tires included 4 of their employees in the picture on the front of the membership card and has honored the cards with great success for a year and a half and is completely liable to honor the remaining memberships that are still have time left on them. In the meantime while our attorneys are enforcing the contract RM TIRES signed Top Gun Promotions is giving every customer a replacement card for another service center within 3 miles of RM TIRES with the exact same offers and discounts. To receive your replacement card for please call Top Gun Promotions at 972 801 9464./or simply mail back your RM Tire promotion to Top Gun Promotions 801 east plano parkway #135 plano tx 75074 Thank you for your patience as we try to resolve this issue for the deserving people who purchased an auto care super saver membership
