I received an invitation to join a Secret Society in order to learn a secret that would change my life - all completely Free! I replied and received a booklet entitled The Greatest Kept Secret of all Time: Five Amazing Stories about Money, Love and Being Discovered that will Change your Life: Installment Number One of Two: The Secret Society Orientation Booklet. On reading this, it became obvious that it was pure fiction, badly written and questionably 'signed' by supposedly very wealthy people. Then the crunch - in order to receive installment two, you are asked to pay $200 for a 680 page 'ancient manuscript' in which the secret will be revealed! However, in the preceding stories all the writers reported that they had either 'found' or been 'given' the secret manuscript. Which raises the quest: 'Why are people being asked to pay such a lot for what was originally a gift?' I think the answer is obvious! Don't fall for this one! The accompanying letter, supposedly signed by Jeff Hanson, insists that you only have 7 days in which to respond, because if not, you 'will have gone too far into phase two and the society's members will no longer be able to help you! Is this to prevent people from researching and discovering the scam, I wonder?
