TCA Fulfillment Services fails to fulfill promised rebates New Rochelle New York
The Better Business Bureau states that business must send rebates to consumers within the published specified time period or 30 days. TCA Fulfillment Services publishes their rebates to be sent within 6-8 weeks. This is a lie.
In early October, I sent in three rebate requests for a wireless router and accessories for a total of $70 in rebates when purchased from CompUSA. I followed all instructions, sent it in before the postmark deadline and faithlfully signed on to their online tracking system www.wheresmyrebate.com.
In November, I receive an email saying the rebate has been processed and will be sent in 8-10 weeks. They have already violated consumer laws of false advertisement but I decided not to make a big fuss about it.
I receive an email on January 11, 2005 saying the checks were sent on January 8 and to expect it in 10 days. I never received any of the checks and also noticed they spelled my name wrong on one of the rebate requests, which means my name on the check would have been spelled wrong as well.
TCA Fulfillment Services makes it nearly impossible to get in contact with their customer service department, as they do not provide an email address (what company that has a website doesn't have an email address in this day and age?) but only a non-1-800 number, which means the consumer pays for the long-distance call. In addition, since I live in Hawaii, 5 hours behind, it's very difficult to make the call to New York when working a 8 am - 5 pm job! I woke up early one morning just to call and after numerous busy signals, I was finally put on hold for 7 minutes before being disconnected and another time for 8 minutes before giving up frustrated.
No stores should do business with such a fraudulent company like TCA Fulfillment for it only brings a bad reputation to the coorporations that does business with them, such as CompUSA. I don't expect to get my rightful rebates anytime and neither should everyone else who sent in rebate forms to TCA.

After seeing the web address for the official company website, I decided to write an email to the three addresses listed. In the email I mentioned all the dates, the rebate numbers and I said I would send them a copies of the rebate forms with the UPC codes, as well as report them to the Better Business Bureau. To my complete surprise, I received three checks from them, all for the right amounts about a week later. Was it merely coincidence that the checks arrived a month late after sending the email, or was it their way of getting me off their backs? In any case, I got my checks, and they all cleared, so DON'T GIVE UP! You deserve your rebate checks - make sure you get them!
