My wife and I just received our tax returns back from TAX READY July 30, 2001 after waiting since April 10, 20001.Our tax preparer did not talk to us about our returns --- she just sent them in the mail.

When we looked at what they came up with for a return, it totaled 800.00 from city and state. They charged us 900.00 to prepare our taxes promising that they would save us 4,000 dollars or they would refund our money. However, our tax preparer did not offer the refund when she knew they failed.

The sorry thing about this is that 102.7 a Christian radio station out of Colorado Springs, Colorado took their advertising money and let it rip for Tax Ready only adding a disclaimer as to their credibility. (Try not trusting local Christian radio station's advertisers -- they can rip you off just as well.) We are in the process of finding out if Tax Ready will keep our tax return and then some or refund it to us because if they don't they stole our tax return.

Don't you just hate shills?

I suggest you contact the Las Vegas Financial Crimes Unit and ask for the Fraud Detail Unit at (702) 229-3285. Their FAX number is (702) 229-5626. The Las Vegas police are quite savvy and have these fraudsters operating in their midst regularly. Tell them about the scam against you.

Ask them to investigate the matter. What you need to know is who the owner is so you can take him to small claims and recoup your money.

If you know anyone else who's been scammed by these folks encourage them to call the Las Vegas PD. The more calls the Las Vegas PD receives on these fraudsters the better.

Good Luck
The Fraud Chick

If you wanted a refund you should have asked for it.

They promise $3000 in new deductions. No one can make the past better. If you wanted a refund you should have asked for it. They saved me $4,500 in amended returns because my past returns were done wrong. If you would have followed the program 100% they would have saved you money.
