These speakers are not stolen. The sale is borderline legitimate. However, the product is awful. What these companies do is import junk products, create fake suggested retail prices, fake Web sites and then hire people to drive around cities and sell them out of the back of vans. You'll probably get a better speaker from a $50 boom box. Paramax is a typical name as it is close to Panamax which is a legitimate company.

Just be glad you are only out $120 and not 1-2 Years in your local jail for receiving stolen goods. Because you had to either have been really naive, or at least greedy(which they feed on). To not know that they were either a scam, or trying to sell some stolen merchandise.
Just be careful if you attempt to sell them at a Pawn Shop(or to anyone else). Because if you represent them as anything more than they are YOU could end up in legal trouble for fraud.
By the way if you thought they were "legit" salespeople I wonder what it would take you to consider someone an illegitimate salesperson.

So, you thought you were going to buy stolen merchandise and get a great deal? The one thing that cons like this rely on is the greed of the victim. If it weren't for folks like you that are willing to buy supposedly stolen stuff off the back of a truck, con artists like these would not be in business.
