T Mobile Cellular illegal contract renewal ripoff Albuquerque New Mexico
I had been a customer of T Mobile Cellular for a long time prior to them obtaining the corporation rights. The company started off as "aerial", and then "voicestream". My 1 year contract with T mobile had been completed, I had 2 handsets.
I purchased an updateed phone and getting the phone programmed and ready for use, with customer support over the phone, they automatically renewed my contract with thier service without my authorization or my knowledge.
A short time later, I transfered to another cellular provider, called t mobile and asked them to cancel my service and send my last statement to my home address.
on recieving my statement, I find that i have been charged $400.00 for "cancelation fees" for early cancelation penalties.
This was supposed to be a month to month service and I feel that i am only responsible for my 1 month of the plan time, applicable taxes and other fees that are set by the company in which I do NOT have a problem with paying, but I do not want to be charged for this scam and want this off my credit report. I also have told this to 2 collection agencies that they have reported me to and I have NOT heard back from either of those companies
