SUNRUN FIRES DISABLED MAN WHO SUPPORTS SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN & REFUSED TO GIVE HIM HIS LAST PAYCHECK.
A former employee of Sunrun Inc. was involved in a motor vehicle accident while employed there and was injured. The employee requested an accomodation under the State of California FEHA Act and EEOC federal guidelines. The former employee submitted a worker's compensation claim. The former employee complained about several law violations including violations of the State of California FEHA Act and EEOC federal guidelines, and wage and hour laws.
The former employee was disabled and supported special needs children.
Employees Alexis Brendan and Megan Lessard violated the FEHA/ EEOC by requiring the former employee to submit to a medical examination and asked impermissble questions about his disabilty. Manager Jonathan Wong (formerly from Tesla) retaliated against the former employee by sabotaging his sales and recommending his termination for not meeting sales criteria.
At all times Sunrun retaliated against the former employee, harassed and threatened him in the workplace, tampered with his wages, and ultimately fired him without paying him his last pay check constituting a wrongful termination in violation of public policy, state wage and hour violations, retaliation, whistle blowing, and other tort.
Sunrun's mantra is "Creating a Planet Run by the Sun" and as some sort of religious chant by a dysfunctional religious cult. Subtle brainwashing of the ignorant and unknowling. While employed there, the former employee heard stories of drunken parties and sexual harassment.
CEO Lynn Jurich is obvioulsy aware of the ongling conduct, but, does nothing about it.
The moral of the story? Caveat Emptor, do you want to deal with this sort of organization having them come to you home to install products? They install their products with what could be considered "slave" labor and for their greedy corporate profit.
Be very careful here especially when there are better options.
