I was at Stater Bros. Store #178 in apple Valley California on 10/11/2018
I purchased a couple of items including a [Barefoot Bubbly champagne]. priced $9.99 less %30 for 6.99
After I paid for my purchase at the register, I noticed I was charged 9.99 for the champagne.
I turned around and asked the cashier about the discrepancy.
this time the swweet cashier when working for my money, charged at me saying, "talk to the manager" who was aproaching the cashier already. I told Nicolas the manager about the champagne mark down to 6.99
Nicolas said, " that's for when you buy 4. " I replied that I had not seen anything in that pertinence, sorry. " So may i return the bottle?"
He replied in an obnuctious manner, " no return on alcohol after it leaves the store!"
I repied at the cashier's presence, that I had not yet walked out of the store!
He said, " still no return!" with a body language that if I had said one more thing he would've physicaly thrown me out of the store!
I went back the next day and took a photo of the marked down price and looked all over the store for a sign pertaining to no return on alcohol, nothing posted!
In closing, Stater Bros. is one of the most over priced markets around with same items up to four times as muce as other stores, ok. But what about this hit and run gypsy robbery!
We pay high state taxes for living in California merly for our consumer protection laws. So, where do these corrupt businesses get their business license to rob the consumer and steal business from other alike companies?
