Southwood Storage Calimesa, Ca Rental RIP-OFF
We had a unit rented with this company. On 2/20/00(it was raining) we went in to tell them that we were moving out and to rent a space for our boat. we were paid up till 3/22/99, I told here we would be back later in the week when not raining to move out. sherrie(the so called office manager) told us to make sure that we removed the locks off the doors and to sweep the unit clean. On 2/26/00 we moved out, took our locks off of doors, and swept the unit clean. A month later we got a bill saying that we were late on our rental unit payment. I called to find out why they sent a bill when we were paid up, I was expecting a refund. She said that there was locks on the doors, I asked that maybe they rented the unit out to somebody else, because we had taken our locks off when we moved out. She said that we were still in the unit and I told her to cut the locks, I didn't care, they were not ours. She came back saying that even if we were not in the unit that we did not give them 10 days written notice and that we still owed the money, I told her she said nothing of that when we were in to cancel our rental, she denied us being in there!! Right then I knew we were being RIPPED-OFF!!
I think that this is standard policy with this company and this sherrie lady. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!

There is a discrepancy in dates. Customer claimes they came in 2/2000 but rent was only paid up to 3/1999. In that there is something wrong with this documentation and there for Southwood Storage can not comment. However we would like to say that Sherrie the manager at the time is no longer at Southwood Storage and the policies she practiced are definetly not of Southwoods Storage. I would like to invite the person(s) who wrote the comment about their experience and give us a chance to make it up by serving you again as your storage facility when ever we may be of your need and see for yourself(s) that the new Owners and Management are very diffrent than those you had delt with before. My husband and I have been Managers for 6 years now and have prided our selfs in treating every one of our customers with Respect and Amability.
