On 10/18/18 an article came out about TJ Bartel and Source Tantra School, detailing the allegations of 8 women who accused TJ Bartel of sexually abusing them duriung Neo Tantra sessions. The numerous allegations against TJ include "rape, sexual assault, violation of boundaries, manipulation, forceable kissing and sexual engagement during sessions."
I also know of at least 5 allegations directly, of women who claim they were harmed by TJ. He admitted to one of them to me directly regarding Isobel Pennell but is now insisting I not tell that truth to women and sent me a very threatening letter from an attorney accusing me of defamation. :(
Another one of the victims, Palki Mawar, has filed suit against him in Santa Monica County. Several women are currently completing their affidavits for Palki's court case.
What is even more concerning than these allegations themselves, in response to those allegations, TJ Bartel and the leaders at Source Tantra School and their spouses (Charles Muir, Christy Rose Muir, Leah Alchin Piper and Matt Piper) have gone on a rampage attempting to discredit and harm the women who are accusing TJ and Source of bad behavior.
I have personally witnessed them gaslighting victims, slamming women, telling them they are not being honest, accusing the women of having ulterior motives, writing up vicious, mean-spirited blog posts and videos in an attempt to discredit these women.
What TJ and Source have notably NOT done is conduct a proper, independent investigation. They have NO WAY of being able to screech that the allegations are not true when in fact they have not investigated properly to find out. Six months ago, when a couple of these allegations began to surface, I wrote publicly to Charles Muir and Source to do an independent investigation and despite many in the community supporting that as the exact right move for Source, Charles ignored me.
Since I've been more public recently, out of my concern for what might happen to women if this isn't public, they have written vicious, salacious, untrue statements about me, about my business and about my students. That and threatening to sue me are enough to intimidate me but I won't let them get away with silencing women.
Leaders in the Tantra and Sex Education communities, such Barbara Carellas, Pamela Madsen and Margot Anand, have come out and spoken against their tactics but until the wider public knows what is going on. These people must be stopped.
