SMC & E-merchants club years after site closed, trying to collect supposed past hosting fees, threatening collection Simi Valley California
Opened a membership with SMC (Speciality Merchandise Corporation). Spend thousands on website optimization services through eMerchantClub services which is affiliated with SMC and is their "merchant operation" company. Never did a single cent of sales!
Discontinued the website after one year. Now, all of a sudden have been receiving collection threats from eMerchant Club saying I owe for past hosting fees. According to them, website was never discontinued and they only closed it after the auto debits on credit card stopped (because card was discontinued). They are threatening to send bill to collections which will DO.
