Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

These people take your money to warrant your home, but when you have a claim they deny deny deny. They find all kinds of excuses not to pay. Don't waste your money. And the "customer service" people barely speak English, so you can't even understand why they're denying your claim, because you can't translate their thickly accented English. I bought my policy in November, 2017. In March, 2018 My boiler wasn't working properly so we put in a claim for repair. The repair bill is only $600 but they'll only pay $205. Why you ask? Well they demanded we submit 3 years of maintenance records. It's a boiler, it doesn't require maintenance. It has no filters or fluids to change, like an AC or furnace unit. And my husband is a general contractor who built our home, so he maintains things himself. Oh, well send us your license. I sent them our GC license (we've been licensed for 30+ years) along with a letter from my husband on what maintenance activities he's done over the years. No, our "documents are not accepted. They are in Microsoft Word." What the hell differnece does it make what program we used to type the letter? It's on our GC letterhead, and we're licensed, insured general contractors. Oh no, that's not acceptable. So I look through our home records and find 3 receipts for times other people had worked on the obiler, but SHW tells me "those are repair records, not maintenance. If it's been repaired before, we won't warranty it." WTF? So now they only want to pay $100 of my $600, but I demanded they give me the $205 they offered before I submitted documentation. I then said I was going to cancel my policy, and the claims manager I was speaking with told me I'd never get a dime refunded, because they would subtract any claims payments from my refund!!! He suggested filing other claims to use up my $7,000 limit of annual claims money. So I filed a claim for a shower valve that won't let us control the temp in our shower. But no, we don't cover that, you'll have to pay $49 additional annually to have fixtures covered. F$*K!! You'll pay and pay these scammers and never ever get a dime from them, so save your money, folks!
