David Daniels contacted the Apache Warrior Foundation (501c3 - non-profit) about making specific cigars for the foundation to honor the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and the their fallen by creating four types of cigars. David's approach was genuine and personal. He was very sincere in the concept and the design of the cigar and putting the complete package together.
Initial screens for SDS cigars and David Daniels did not throw up any flags. He asked for details that would assist him in creating the memorium cigars. As the relationship developed, on 06NOV2018, David stated, "Good morning sir, I sending you a prototype of the Hellfire missile cigar. Call me for your feedback. Also the gentleman declined to get on the project but I am still working on something else as well.@" The gentleman was an alleged investor that was discussing financing the import cost. The cigar was described as a, "Honduras Maduro wrapper binder and filler are Honduras as well.Full body."
He stated that he was needing assistance with financing a bond with US Customs in order to get the product in from Honduras, and was able to "negotiate" a quarterly appointement with US Customs. David was asking for $349USD for the first quarter. We provided him the funds requested. Interestingly he was asking to get the funds in unusual ways such Western Union or go to Wal Mart to do a money transfer. Not something that seemed proffessional. We insisted on sending through Pay Pal in order to have a clear transfer of the money.
Later (several weeks) David solicited $700USD funds for a conference he was attending in Las Vegas because the airlines lost his luggage and he did not have a credit card with him to buy a suit, shoes, ties and such. Weeks later we learned that David lived in Las Vegas with his wife Jesslyn Daniels. He began having phone issues and and then blocked my phone number. I reached him through e-mail and he responded that he was fixing his cell phone issues and would contact in a few. Mr Daniels never did. He stated that he and his wife felt bad for the mis-comminication, but would get it right with us. To date, Mr. Daniels has not sent the promised prototype, nor refunded any money. SDS, Envi Cigars, David and Jesslyn Daniels are scam artist that need to be invetigated for faud.
Additionally, he claims to be friends with Dr. Gaby Kafie (episode #271 Stogie Geeks on YouTube), and he is definately not. I talked to Dr Gaby Kafie and he confirmed that David is a fraud.
