In Feb. of 2008 I entered the Schneider training acadamy. By Feb. 15 we completed the the full course and went with a mentor for two weeks. March of 2008 I started driving with a team partner. Wages claimed were $47,000 - $55,000 your first year as a team driver.

One month went by, paychecks still remained in the lower $20,000 range. My team partner said give it time, it will get better once we know the system better. So, after 3 more months and being financial ruined, our biggest check in those four months would have averaged me at $31,000 !!!! Even working 7 days a week, the miles given to us did not by far get close to making me $47,000 a year.

So here is my b***h with the company! They tell you to sign a document to pay back the schooling if you quit the company. Fine, had no problem with that! However, if I kept working for them with the false claims to the wages I was supposed to get, I would have financially ran myself into the ground!

I should have have put on the schooling payback document, "Stated pay by Schneider National subject to repayment of loan if employee departs company" !!!!!!!!!

Also, bonuses.... what a joke! I could not even get a response back from them as to why I didn't get my quarterly bonus. I had no service failures, no accidents ect. ect. !!!

So in a nutshell, Schneider gets you to sign on, tells you lies regarding your pay, you ruin your credit rating and then they want the schooling fees back. I never would have left if the pay was as stated. I went to another trucking firm, have paychecks as stated and get treated with much much much more respect!

I should sue them for also putting me and my team partner in danger when a maintenance crew for Schneider worked on our truck. They reused parts and if we would have went into the mountains, we may have had a fatal accident! Thank god after 400 miles out in the desert, the equipment failed on flat land! We had a TA (Travel America) repair our truck with pictures taken and the whole thing document. The service crew could not believe how the equipment was repaired!

HEED MY WARNING working for Schneider, your just a number!

You need to find a career other than trucking!

Your post is ridiculous, as being read by anyone who is in or has been in the trucking industry. First of all, NOBODY made you a pay guarantee. Nobody. Those are CLEARLY stated as "AVERAGE" first year earnings, NOT "minimum guaranteed earnings". Second, just plain old fashioned common sense tells you not to believe anything a recruiter tells you! Any kind of recruiter / salesperson! Just common sense here to always get any guarantees in writing! And, exactly what parts did they re-use when they fixed your truck. I cannot wait for this one! Are you an ASE Certified Truck Mechanic? If not, how exactly would you know what can or cannot be used over again? For the record, TA Truck service is the worst I have seen. And, they make commission on parts and labor. Not exactly an "impartial" opinion! Sue them? FOR WHAT??? Exactly? BE SPECIFIC. FYI...I am currently working in the Truck repair business at a major dealership. I see this stuff everyday. And, I am an experienced OTR Truck Driver too.
