Complaint Review: Royal Prestige Credit AKA Hy Cite Corporation - Madison Wisconsin

O.k. I am so happy that I found this site because I am not the only one that Royal Prestige has ripped off and ruined my credit. Well the same thing happened to me as the other guy who got ripped off.

In April 2003, I was a student living in Hawaii. I had been in engaged and I was preparing for graduation in June. I received a phone call on my cell from a lady at Royal Prestige (I don't even remember how they got my number)....anyway, a lady told me that my fiance and I had won a trip and all we had to do is come and listen to a a presentation at a nice hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii. So we, went on a Sunday afternnon and sat through the whole presentation. Then afterwards they told us to come and have a seat at one of the tables in the back. We were like o.k. All of a sudden out of no where, a man comes and sits in front of us, pulls the contract, and explains the payment options. First of all, my fiance and I were a little confused. We did not know what was going on....all we wanted was the freakin' free trip that they told us about. Well, he didn't do a very good job going over the contract. He didin't even give us much time.

We felt that we were being rushed and that everything was going to quickly. My fiance and I didn't even get to talk things over and they guy pulls out the pen and starts to fill out the contract for us.

I feel like Royal Prestige took advantage of my fiance and I. Unfortunately, we did sign the contract. After discussing it over with my fiance we decided that we wanted to cancel. We just couldn't afford paying for our wedding and my graduation party. So, I tried calling for a week but everytime I called they would say that someone would give me a call back. ThEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK.

In May 2003, I received the package but I was so upset because they never called me back. The very next day I wrote a letter and returned the merchandise back. A few weeks later they sent the package to me again, and once again I sent it back.

I never heard from them again until....the next year (2004). In June 2004, we wanted to buy our first car...but guess what. We had a hard time getting a loan because I had a collection with ROYAL PRESTIGE. This time I called and the lady who answered it said that there was nothing they could do and that I had already signed the contract. I got very upset with her because she did not know what I have done to try and get this problem solved. Anyway, the lady told me that they would sue me and I told her that I would see her in court.

NOW...it's August 2005, we want to buy our first home but guess what....I'm having a hard time with ROYAL PRESTIGE being on my credit report. I know that I have to pay $1885 to get this off my credit report but I don't think this company deserves it. I will not give them a penny of mine because they are so full of it. They are unprofessional, unorganized, and a ripoff.

Anyway, hopefully you guys who are wondering if you should buy there products....DON'T TRUST THEM!!!! You'll be sorry!
