Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service Caused more damage & their service sucks. Maple Ridge British Columbia Canada
I Called the Roto-Rooter to clean the clogged bathroom sink & got a plumber on 11/01/2008 (Saturday) at my rental property.
Their Plumber augered the line from the bathroom sink & couln't fix the problem & advised could be septic tank/Distribution box may be clogged eventhought toilet was draining properly.
He also advised may be main line from the toilet need to be augered at an extra cost. I want to make my tenant's life easier & wanted to get the problem fixed ASAP. I agreed & let the plumber auger the main line from toilet drain. Still couldn't fix the problem & advised should get it's septic tank/Distribution box cleaned. I Paid him $331.75 & decent tip.
Told my tenants that I will have septic tank company there soon, on Monday or Tuesday.
Tenants called at night that there is a water leak from the Toilet & sink, which was never there before. Water ran to the hallway. They put lots of rags there.
The septic company cleaned the septic tank & we realize the problem is still there. But their (Roto-Rooter's) plumber has caused leak from the toilet & sink hence wrecked the floor & caused the mess for my tennants.
I left a message for the manager of Roto-rooter about the whole situation. He didn't replied. Fed up with this, I complained on the company's web site & after a week got an excused call that he was away (Huuuh!! No acting manager or customer service rep in place). I wanted ATLEAST these leaks (caused by their plumber) fixed by them instead of calling another plumber. He said he will send another plumber.
They did sent another plumber, but he want to get paid, before starting the job, fixing the problems caused by their fellow plumber.
That was when, I was upset, that firstly they sent someone (called so plumber) who wrecked my place by causing leakages & he never put a SEAL or GASKET (which caused major leak) after mounting the toilet seat back and now they wanted to get paid in advance for that.
I refused to pay them in advance & they never covered their own mistakes.
My tenants & I went through all this for about 15 days.
I had to call another plumber, who installed the NEW SEAL/GASKET under the toilet seats, fixed the clogged bathroom sink & the leakages and paid him $200+ tax.
During this time, due to water leakage, floor (plywood) was swollen.
The tennant moved out & place was vacant for a month & I spent another $500 to get the floor fixed.
These idiots caused a damage of about $2000 of mine for earning their $331.75 & not accepting their mistake.
I will never ever in my life call these idiots & will not let my friends call these people & would advise everyone to stay away from these people.
