Roto Rooter Rip off by Roto rooter Chicago Illinois
I have sever block in my home so i callded Roto rooter for help and fix. the man come and he was on the tel . with somebody talking and talking and not doing started his job then after 45 min. he gave me a estimate $335 after showing me what he is going to do for removing the blocked drain . i said to him do the jog and he bring and stared the job they way he told me and tryihg to removeing a deferent pipes cap which is not blocked and it is not open after lots of try so i told him why he want to open that cap when it is clear visible that other open cape is over flooding . he do not hava nay answer for me so i told him to put snake in the effected pipe if it work he do not have to open other pipe , and he put snake in side the right pipe and fist time he insert the snake and he pull one chunk of root from the sewer pipe and then put one more time that snake to make sure that all clean and then drain working after the first time . task took him only 50 min. and he ask again for $335 i said you pur only 2 time snake and you asking me for same amount which you origonally gave me you have to revised now it is simple work and you want to make it complecated he said no and took the money.
it is clear same job if i ask to do sombody they will in max $200. Keep Away Roto Rooter from your home .

If it is clear(unlike your report) that the job was only worth $200 in your opinion, why did you approve the job for $335?
