We purchased a Jamestown Reclining Sofa & Reclining Console Loveseat from Rooms To Go on June 20, 2015 that were delivered on July 3rd, 2015.  In less than 3 months, I started experiencing severe back pains for which I have spent thousands of dollars in medical bills to treat a herniated disc with no resolution to this day.

I came to the conclusion that the sofas were the issue when several guests complained to me that they were very stiff after sitting for a while.  There is zero lumbar support and the legrests are extremely hard to push down and require an incredible amount of force.  My 22 year old step daughter that is in good shape & exercises daily could barely stand straight after watching a movie while sitting on the recliner.  I started putting 2 & 2 together and determined that the sofa was the culprit.

I contacted Rooms To Go a few months back to report that the Loveseat was extremely uncomfortable and that I am certain it is the cause for my chronic pains.  They sent someone out to inspect the sofa & the representative told me he had thought of purchasing the sofa himself, but sat in it for a while in the showroom & realized that the ergonomics are horrible & decided to purchase another one.

I received a call a few days later from RTG customer service and they thought I was reporting some scratches on the sofas caused by my cat.  Yes, there are scratches on the sofas (even though they were sold to me as scratch resistant made of some special material that looks like leather which is the only reason I bought them to begin with), but I explained to the rep the actual reason for my complaint & she told me she would need to have someone at a higher level call me another time to discusss further.

That call came several days later & I was told by the "higher level" rep that there was nothing they could do and that I chose to purchase the sofas.  She was extremely rude, unsympathetic & unprofessional to say the least.  I told her that I was not asking for my money back, but that I would like the opportunity to trade the sofas in for others of a different design that I could actually sit in for longer than 5 minutes without being in pain.  We spent $9,000.00 at the store in 1 day for the living room set that included the sofas & a King Cloud Supreme Mattress.  I was also conned into purchasing a 3 year warranty for the sofas that really doesn't cover anything.  Now we're stuck paying $159 a month thru August of 2019 for a set of sofas I cannot use.
