We applied for an auto loan through another company and recieved an e-mail that we had been approved through Roadloans. We have never gone through an on-line company before and thought we would give it a try. That was our first mistake.
We received the packet overnight just like they had promised. Included was a check that said that if we met all their simple requirements we could then go car shopping. It all seemed to simple and it was.
We chose a car and the dealer called roadloans to verify that all was going well, we had infact faxed them every requirement they had asked for. When the dealer was told that all was well and to give us possession of the car he did with good faith. Well two weeks went by and we get a call from Roadloans that said they needed to talk to us. It seems that when my husband's child support turned up on his paycheck stub it created a problem. I assumed that when they asked for your gross income that was what they wanted.
The problem was that with paying his child support and not being a deadbeat dad he no longer fit within their realm of acceptablility. If he didn't pay it or paid it himself instead of having it automatically deducted from his pay then he would have been just fine.
So here we sit 2 weeks later with a car that we have not paid for, scrambling to find financing.
Word to the wise, be cautious of something that seems way to easy, because probably it is.
