Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Reservations.com Hotels.com & Expedia.com Today, I made online reservations directly with what I thought was clearly the hotel. But, upon looking closer AFTER the fact, it is readily apparent ! WTF! But when I called Hotels.com to get my confirmation number, they told me that I had made the reservation using Reservations.com. So a thank you from Hotels.com, the hotel itself telling me that Expedia.com was the conduit for my reservation, and ultimately being told by Hotels.com that I actually used Reservations.com to book my room. This is simply outrageous and unethical. I know there are many more people who have been duped by these kinds of websites, and the hotel where I am staying at admitted that these booking websites are deceitful. I will write whomever I can in order to get this kind of deceitful practice investigated and addressed in some form. With credit card fraud and cyber fraud being what it is today, these people aren't much better in the way they do business. It is wrong, just as mislabeling food items is wrong. Spread the word, these booking websites are simply not honest and hope we're not looking close at what kind of sham they're conducting. They made the reservation website appear to be the specific hotel I wanted to deal with. But they were not.

This kind of deception needs to be checked and stopped. I paid $14.99 for something I could have received for nothing had I actually been dealing directly with the hotel itself.  Who wants to pay a fee when you can get the same service with the hotel you want to stay at.  I always deal directly with the hotel so I can avoid this unethical practice.  But, I got duped.  My bad.  But it does not excuse this kind of online marketing practice.
