I took my family(18 of us) to Ramada Inn in Kearney,Nebraska to spend Christmas and it was a flaming nightmare--and I paid $1,012. for this experience. We(two rooms of us came from Colorado)(the other three rooms came Christmas Day for two nights)and arrived Christmas Eve-all seemed fine. We went to breakfast Christmas morning and the service was bad-including "if you want catsup go fine some on another table yourself" but the problem started when I overheard conversation about Christmas Dinner and I ask our waiter about it. He said with a party that large it would be in the activities dome.

I said that was fine but on the way back to the room I saw names on the tables and I immediately called and ask about reservations and the manager of the restaurant said"no way-we're full" and hung up on my. I called the front desk and was told that they just changed their minds about having anything open and there was only one restaurant open in town.

When I make the reservations I was specific-my brother and my son-in-law are both in wheelchairs and due to some kind of calcium growth in my son-in-laws hip he can hardly get in and out of a vehicle-which was the reason for haveing a restaurant in the motel. Anyway-we had lunch at the other place but our main Christmas Dinner was in the evening since my one daughter and family weren't coming til late afternoon and not only was there no restaurant open in the motel but not even a convenience store in town-so Christmas dinner was bologna from the coolers we packed for the trip there.

I was to have two handicapped rooms and there were no bars for them to hold, they could not get into the bathrooms and they were so small they couldn't have anyone hold them to get in. My son-in-law had to lie on the bed on plastic pads to have a B.M. The toilet in the hot tub room ran over for two days even though I called it in. And there were dirty undies beside the bench in my room when I arrived. I did talk to the manager-who didn't care and I protested my credit card but they said I was there and that was all they could do. I cried for weeks--it was awful. Thanks for anything you can do. I just think someone should be responsible-I sent them a letter with the comment card and they did not even reply. Thanks---
