My story: I found Scottsdale Models many years ago when I was living in SLO, CA and really needed more promotional spokes modeling work. My very first (and only) event I worked for them was unfortunately representling Girls Gone Wild (a disgusting and degrading company if you ask me); this should have been the first warning sign that this company was shady. Dustin Erb, head of the agency, assured me that we would just be handing out flyers at a trade show in San Francisco for an afterparty at a nearby nightclub/bar and simply hostessing the afterparty event. There would be other "celebrity" GGW video models there to entertain the patrons at the party, so he claimed. Needless to say (just like all the reviews and complaints on all of the various Internet sites about this agency), they tried to pimp us out and make us the "Girls Gone Wild Girls" that were going to dance on the bar/dancefloor while being filmed. The owner of GGW was also there and was quite persistent about us drinking and making the party "fun". He also got very upset for me telling people that I was in fact not a model in the stupid and degrading videos. I called Dustin from the event and let him know that another model and I felt very uncomfortale and he said we could leave, yet still get paid. I then had to argue with them about the actual validity of the event and chase my money for the hotel/gas and payment. I then applied to a new ageny called PUSH models about a week ago and was upset to realize that it's the same exact company as Scottdale Models (with obviously just a new name). I also found two pictures of myself on their website that I never authorized them to use (one is a professional modeling picture and the other was a picture from CES 2005 at the PAnasonic booth which wasn't even their event!!!! I guess they have been reported to the BBB by many models, hence why they changed their name to PUSH. So my advice it to NOT sign up with either of these companies.

Let us formally and publicly apologize for your terrible experience. It is no excuse but please know that promotion that we booked you for was approximately 5 years ago and was during our first 6 months in business.

OUR SIDE OF THE STORY:

Unfortunately were referred to the GGW account by one of OUR actual models (who apparently got a job worked directly for GGW) This model assured us that our people wouldnt be made to feel degraded in any way and would simply be promoting the product with the handing out of flyers.

Please know that assignment that took place 5 years ago was the first and last event we ever did for GGW. Please also know that event was one of the first gigs we took on and over the course of the past 5 years we have learned a lot about who to work with and who not to work with.

The photos you found of yourself on our site were photos that you submitted to us before being signed. When photos get submitted they are placed onto our database of photos acceptable to be used for marketing. Once these photo get placed in our database our designers will pick the approved models with professional quality photos may be used in marketing our agency.  Until now we never thought much of it considering it is just additional exposure for our models and they always seem to appreciate it. Nevertheless within 24 hour once you had requested for us to pull and delete your photos we did.

Our organization has changed in ways you couldnt believe and work with many of the most respected companies in the world. Once again we are sorry for your poor experience.
