Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This is probably the most important review I have ever written.    Please read til the end. 51 days ago, we were easily approved for our VA loan (proud former marine), bid on a house and began the process of moving our family to TX from Arkansas .   We were told an approximate closing date, which never happened.  Our closing was postponed over and over.  We were accused of defaulting on a government loan a few days after we arrived here.  After three long days, the underwriters finally admitted they made a mistake.   Today we told Alex Stinson, our loan officer, that if we could not close this week, we needed to seek out another lender.  We were not rude, and we have gotten them every bit of information they needed very quickly.  Alex responded and simply said, 'I won't waste your time anymore, please seek out another lender'.  He then gathered our paperwork and drove it across town and dropped it off at my husbands father's office.   Assuming he would fight for our business, we did not expect him to wash his hands clean of us and even rid himself of our paperwork.

The reason I am so heartbroken over this is because I have a daughter who is disabled and this move has been very hard on her. All our belongings are still in a 26 foot trailer and we have been living out of a suitcase for three weeks now.   Our two kids, our two dogs, and cat are staying in a family members spare room and my daughter with the genetic disorder averages about 5 hours of sleep a night.   Alex Stinson knew this and he knew she just started a special education program with new therapy nearby.   Proficio told us we would have a home on a specific date and we moved our entire lives to be here to get the keys to our new home and get our children settled in.   We feel completely let down and so discouraged. The underwriting process was taking entirely too long and the questions they were asking us were completely asinine. I have purchased many homes in my life and never have I seen underwriting treat us with such unnecessary scrutiny.  If you read Proficio's reviews in the ripoffreport.com, you'll see many other stories such as this one.   I just don't want this to happen to anyone else in Montgomery, TX, especially families who m from Arkansas.   Thanks to Proficio we are stranded in this sweet town, forced to start all over again with a new lender, and most likely about to search for a rental home.

I do not recommend Proficio to anyone.   At first, I thought it was the underwriters, but after Alex's childish behavior today, I can see the problem is local. I hate giving negative reviews, but this one seemed necessary.  Beware of Proficio Mortgage in Montgomery, TX.  **Note, we lost our earnest money and our titlework fees of $600**
