Professionally Dunn - Pro Dunn ripped off by a landscaper Do NOT HIRE PROFESSIONALLY DUNN Pembroke Pines Florida
I am writing you because I don't know what else to do. My name is Michael Green and I am a Weston resident. I've been SCREWED BIG TIME! I don't want this to happen to other innocent people. I want everyone to know what an unscrupulous person this is. Here is my story:
About a year ago I hired a landscaper named Ricky Dunn Jr. President of Professionally Dunn Inc, AKA Pro Dunn Inc. The work he did was good and the price was reasonable. So, when I need more work done, I hired him this past March thinking it was a good choice. WRONG!!!! At first he showed up, I gave a deposit and he and his crew began work. I was pleased with the progress they were making in my yard. As he did more work he asked for more money and I obliged. This wound up going on until I paid for the job completely. Once that happened he stopped showing up and does not respond to my phone calls. I must have phoned him a hundred times. He has responded maybe three or four times assuring me that he wants to complete the work, he has labor problems, other jobs or some other excuse, stating that he is a Good Guy, and would not rip people off. I am not like that is what he said. Well it appears he is like that.
My back yard, sprinkler system and pond, which he promised to repair is only half way complete and does not look pleasant to the eye. Thus far I have given him $5945. Now there is also another check I gave him for $1000. When he did not show for a few days I stopped payment and I informed him of this. He apologized and said no problem. Well it turns out he cashed it at the Check Cashing Store. Now they are calling me and telling me that I am responsible to make the check good or I can be sued for the money and have a derogatory mark on my credit if I don't pay. I did nothing wrong and now to add insult to injury, I have to pay another thousand dollars to protect my credit! That is a total of $6945 out of my pocket and maybe 2-3 thousand dollars worth of work was done. What do I do? I don't have a problem paying for things that I received but I clearly have been ripped off. I call this guy every day and he doesn't return my calls. Now, I checked him out with the BBB, and public records. He has had 3 unresolved complaints in the past 36 months and has several judgments with the Broward county public records. I feel so stupid that I didn't do this first. I would be happy if he just completed the work he promised or get my money back. This doesn't look promising. If I don't get any restitution, I just want everyone to know what a scam artist and a rip off Ricky Dunn Jr., Professionally Dunn Inc., and Pro Dunn Inc (all the same) are so they don't get ripped off. I have a few choice words to describe how I feel about him but I am trying to be professional.
