We rented a car in April 2016. Today, April 3, 2018, we get a damage claim demanding $928 for damage to a car that was fine when we turned it in! The letter came from Sedgwick claims management services for damages requested by Payless. The car had the usual scratches and sings they marked off. We returned it to the airport in fine condition. No one said a word! Now two years later were getting a damage claim? Is that even legal? We were never contacted with concerns at all from the rental agency. We believe this is a scam! Please any assistance with this highway robbery is appreciated!

Today my fiancé called the company handling the alleged damage bill. After being on hold for a very long time, the representative, Julie, came back on the phone and said somebody moved the car after we dropped it off. That’s when the damage must have occurred. Please disregard the bill you were sent. Really? They knew we did not cause any damage, but yet sent us a bill for $928???? AFTER TWO YEARS!!! Sounds like a scam. Let’s see who will pay without question. Horrible company. As of now, we’ve been told we do not owe any money.
