I was hesitant after reading the ripoff report but ordered anyways. No problem what so ever. Placed my order for a throttle cable for a 40 year old snowmobile. Cable was delivered in 7 days and I am extremely pleased.

Just had a great experience with Pat's Small Engine Parts. I feel that the person that complained initially regarding next day shipping is being unreasonable- that's all I will say about that. My experience: Ordered a Kohler starter on Tuesday and had a starter in hand Saturday delivered via Fedex (from the midwest to Massachusetts). Their website is not that sophisticated, but it worked well enough and I got a Kohler starter, in a Kohler box, brand new, for far less than others locally wanted. Save alot of money and did not have to go driving all over to get the part. Just put the part on and tractor starts great.
Thanks Pat's Small Engine!

I needed a new fuel tank for a honda generator over 20 years old. Guess what? Pat's had the best price. I ordered by e-mail. In about four days I finally checked my phone messages and was informed that the tank was not in stock and would be about two weeks before it would be shipped.
Needless to say I was not surprised. I was asked if I stil wanted the tank. I informed the woman on the phone that I did.
I really did not expect any one to have the tank in stock for a generator over 20 years old.
I got the tank in about a week paying standard shipping. I was very pleased with their service & would order from them again.

I buy alot of engines and I search for the best price. On this particular job, Pat's had the best price. I also research companies I deal with and I was skeptical when I read all of the bad reports on this company. I want to give anyone the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance if they can convince me in person (over the phone) that they will do what they promise.
I called them on a Tuesday morning to visit about their complaint record. After roughly 30 minutes of talking about it, I was ready to give them a chance. They confirmed they had the engine on hand and would ship it that day. I did not expect it to arrive until the following Monday because it was being shipped to Texas. Within 2 hours I received a confirmation the engine had shipped. Shortly thereafter, I received an e-mail from Fedex the engine had been picked up. To my surprise, the engine arrived Friday morning. There were no extra fees, no disappointing surprises whatsoever.
I am not affiliated with Pat's in any way. I am a pleased customer. I promised them that if they treated me fairly and did what they said they would do, I would commend them on this report. I can assure you that I will use Pat's again because I got exactly what I wanted, at the advertised price, when I wanted it.
Every story has two sides and talking to them in person paid off for both of us. The lowest price on my purchase adds to my bottom line, and a successful sale and pleased customer has added to Pat's bottom line.
I say Thank You, Pat's Small Engine and I will be a returning customer.

recently I bought from Pat's Small Engines several times with no problems untill now. Orded a gasket set and when I got it part of it was wrong and it also did not have every thing in it plus had stuff in it that had nothing to do with the set and had gaskets in it for defferent motors. Had 2 call in 5 times and finnally am transfered to ger a return number a and had trouble getting that and was told this time that they don't have the item in stock and orded it from Briggs and Stratton for my orde, so it's right. Yet when oedering it they had it instock and did not have to order it.I wasa taqlked to like I was stupid and did not know what I was talking about. And was told that if the part number was correct that it waqs going to be sent back to me. And this is regaedless of the gasket sets contents.
I am positive I have been rebuilding engines for longer than this idiot has been alive. Should have paid the extra cost it would have taken to get it directly from Briggs and Straton

On 10-5-10, I ordered a Kohler carburetor from Pat's Small Engine Plus and immediately received a confirmation number for my order. I was a little concerned when I didn't receive a "automatic" confirmation email that seems routine for many web based business's so I looked for reviews of this company and was worried when I saw some of the comments posted on the RipOffReport. On 10-8-10 I received the part as ordered in a professionally prepared parcel complete with a packing slip. I searched the web carefully before ordering this part looking for the best price. Pat's Small Engine Plus was substantially cheaper than any other website I found and the shipping was reasonable. I didn't pay for expedited shipping as price was my main concern. I was pleasantly surprised when the part showed up so quickly. Perhaps Pat's Small Engine Plus could enhance their website by adding automatic confirmation emails to reduce unwarranted concerns. I will certainly use Pat's in the future and based upon my experience to date would recommend them without reservation.

I just have to share my personal experience with Pat's small engine parts. It's simple, their customer service and the overall experience sucks. Ordered two parts, the exact same parts, on monday. The following monday I called to check on the status of the order. After waiting for 15 min.s on hold, a rep told me they went out on friday. No tracking number was available with usps. Wow, five days to ship the order. 8 days after the order the parts came. remember suposed to be the same parts. They sent me two of the same parts numbers but two different manufactures of the same part. one looks and feels like a pos and the other looks to be close to oem. One more thng, don't bother sending them emails. you will never get an answer. Poor service, what was the order filler thinking?

I was going to place an order with Pat's, then saw this rip-off report. The report made me nervous but Pat's had several items I needed and at a reasonable price. I decided to take a chance on Pat's since further investigation by myself didn't turn up any more dirt. I'm pleased to say that after placing the order it arrived in two days, and I neither requested nor paid for quick shipping. The items arrived in good shape and were as descibed on the web site. After my experience with Pat's, I felt obligated to let potential Pat's customers know that Pat's is A-Okay. It is possible that the consumer who filed this rip-off report has distorted the facts of his experience and is possibly wrongfully attacking a respectable company. We've all met jerks in our lives, and the consumer who filed this report is likely one of those types.... not matter what you do, you can't please them. It is valuable to pass on negative experiences from companies that don't serve us well, but it just isn't right to attack a company that is doing just fine by it's customers. Thanks Pat's, for taking care of me and my order. I'll use you in the future if you've got what I need and the price is competitive.

BEING RIPPED OFF ISN'T ENOUGH, NOW KEN AT PAT'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR PLUS HAS ISSUED AN EMAIL THREATENING TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION FOR SLANDER. NOT REALIZING OF COURSE THAT SLANDER INVOLVES FALSEHOODS NONE OF WHICH OCCUR IN MY COMPLAINT. IN FACT THERE ARE MORE NEGATIVE FACTS AGAINST PAT'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR PLUS THAT I HAVE NOT MENTIONED. JUST REMEMBER ALL THAT HAS OCCURED WHEN DECIDING WHETHER YOU WANT TO MAKE A PURCHASE FROM PAT'S SMALL ETC.!!! DO YOU WANT LEGAL THREATS WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR??

NOTICE IN THE REBUTTAL BY KEN OF PAT'S SMALL ENGINE PLUS THAT NO OFFER WAS MADE TO MAKE GOOD THE OVERCHARGE FOR SHIPPING. SOLD ME A PRODUCT THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT BUT IF AND WHEN I DO I'LL SUPPLY THIS SITE WITH A COPY OF THE PACKING SLIP FROM STENS WHERE THE PRODUCT EVENTUALLY CAME FROM. A SIMPLE REFUND OF THE DIFFERENCE OF THE SERVICE I PAID FOR AND THE SERVICE I ACTUALLY RECEIVED WOULD BE IN ORDER.

No one is named Alberto That is a cutzy way of being snide and shows the real demeanor of this individual (Ken) who apparently is the bouncer at this establishment. Not only that but the request to cancel the order was done within an hour of placing the order once I found they were this outfit wasn't planning on shipping out overnight. Incidentally I placed this order at 11:34 in the morning but I guess that KEN AT PAT'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR ADJUSTS HIS CLOCK TO SUIT HIS FABRICATIONS. Now let me summarize how PAT'S SMALL ENGINE PLUS (OR MINUS IN MY BOOK) conducted themselves through this transaction. I placed the order for $115.00 at 11:34 AM on the 17th of April and paid an additional $45.00 for overnight shipping. The item finally arrived on the 19th at 6:30 PM. AND WHEN IT ARRIVED IT WAS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY IN ANOTHER CITY. So in fact the product that PAT'S SMALL ENGINE PLUS sold me with overnight shipping is one they didn't even have on hand to ship out that day or the next or any day after that. IN OTHER WORDS STEER CLEAR OF PAT'S SMALL ENGINE PLUS SO YOU WON'T ENCOUNTER THE BAUBLE-HEADED TREATMENT I RECEIVED. THESE FOLKS WOULDN'T KNOW THE TRUTH IF IT JUMPED OUT AND BIT THEM IN THE... BE GOOD TO YOURSELF AND AVOID THEM. YOU CAN GET THE SAME STUFF FROM WWW.STENS.COM. THAT'S WHERE THEY GOT IT SENT TO ME FROM (DROPSHIPPED). SO WHO IS SCAMMING WHO!!!???? I SURE DIDN'T GO OUT OF MY WAY TO FILE THIS REPORT FOR MY HEALTH. AND I SURE HAD OTHER THINGS ON MY MIND THAN TO BADGER THE EMPLOYEES OF PAT'S SMALL ENGINE PLUS AND MINUS. THAT'S WHY I ORDERED OVERNIGHT. NOT TO BE HASSLED BUT TO GET THE JOB DONE ON TIME. AFTER THESE FOLKS RIPPED ME OFF FOR THE $45.00 SHIPPING THEY REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO CANCEL THE ORDER EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD NOT HAD THE ORDER SHIPPED BY STENS, NOR WOULD THEY ISSUE ME A PARTIAL REFUND FOR THE AMOUNT I WAS OVER-CHARGED FOR SHIPPING. THE AMOUNT WAS NEARLY HALF AS MUCH AGAIN AS THE PRICE OF THE ITEM THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO SHIP OVERNIGHT. LET THEM WITH THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT SEE WHO RIPPED WHO OFF.

Mr. --- contacted us stating that he was unsatisfied with the delivery time of his package. Alberto placed an overnight order with our company at aprox. 11:30 pacific time on April 17th which is 2:30 CST. We are located in Minnesota we are on CST. It clearly states on our Web site in (PSEP.BIZ) plain view that most orders are shipped same day if they are placed before 12:00 CST, therefore his order shipped the next day April 18th overnight. Mr. ---- didn't place his order in time. Upon Mr. --- negligence he belligerently badgered our employees with smart remarks and rude comments as stated in the complaint. I have spoke with Alberto trying to explain the situation on who, what, when, were, why and how his order was shipped the way it did. He is insisting that we are sharks and dupers. After extensive dealing with Mr. --- I told him that we would be happy to refund his money once the part is returned. In doing so we are taking a $45 loss in shipping and now we have to sit on the part. So who is scamming who? Ken
