This company will require you to upload documentation of every transaction using their FSA debit card within a fixed period of their letter demanding proof. The amounts listed often do not correspond to the amount your provider shows on your bill. I was (erroneously) sent a check by Optum, then a letter demanding return of the check or repayment. I had not cashed the check. After a huge confusion with this, I prepared and sent a complete listing of all claims and acceptable documentation for the 2014 year showing the (large) amount I was still owed.  I sent this with the uncashed check to Optum Customer Service.  I notifed them in advance through customer service that I was sending this. Optum's response was to return the check again to me together with an undated, unsigned letter stating that they could not accept this check and demanding I pay them over $500. My carefully prepared accounting and documentation were simply ignored. After many hours spent attempting to work with this company to correct their many mistakes and overcome the hurdles placed to having FSA funds applied to my medical expenses, it is clear I will need to spend many more and obtain legal help just to be allowed to use my own money to pay for legitimate healthcare costs. If you are an employer, I hope you will value your employees' time and happiness enough to spare them the hours of frustration Optum has cost me.
