I was hired by Alex Viera President of My Private Bullion on September 15th as an independent contractor to call leads he provided on his phone and at his office. He promised me $ 14.00 an hour. He was adamant that I come in at 830 am take lunch at 1pm for 30 minutes and leave at 430pm. There were no breaks. We were to be paid every other Friday. Mr Viera made claims he had letters from the IRS that the coins he sold were not taxable and I should convey this to prospects. The week of payday he explained that he was going to Singapore for business to open an offshore account and for leveraging metals which is illegal in the US. He promised me he would bring my check on Thursday, as he was leaving on Friday. I also signed an independent contractor agreement with me promising to have 2 hours of talk time per day. He came in on Thursday with no check and another rep I knew made $18000.00 that week. From one sale. Mr Viera made double that. I have owned businesses before and if you are legitimate, the rules on 1099 vs W2 are very clear. With 1099 employers save about 23% of payroll compared to W2. Clearly I am a W2 and everyone knows any and all income is taxable. Mr Viera said he loves this country and that he hitchiked from Argentina to get here. It was probably Santa Claus. I found out he has done this before and if you have bought metals from him he will tell you how valuable they are. Try asking him to buy them back. I gave him several chances to pay me. So I regret to say he is a liar a cheat and a thief. Now he can deal with the labor board complaint I filed and the IRS is next along with the attorney General and other agencies. I have documents he provided to prove this, as well.
