Merchant Product Services Rude Ripoff Scam for Credit Card Terminal Supplies Florence Kentucky
This company calls existing companies and tells the person answering the phone that they have an order waiting to be shipped. They tell the person on the phone that they need the correct shipping or billing address. Once this is given to them, they ship you credit card terminal rolls and ribbons. The ribbons and supplies are way overpriced.
They sent us supplies that our credit card bank supplies us for free, but MPS charged us $269.70 plus $14.00 Shipping and Handling.
Perhaps the most infuriating part is how they respond when you call to try to correct the problem. Their method appears to be to try to wear you down. Our office manager called to get them to pick up their box, but they told her that if we wanted to return the merchandise, we would have to pay for return shipping and pay a 20% restocking fee! They were rude and abusive to her and took more than an hour of her time, plus got her plenty steamed up.
