I cancelled my membership agreement with Ladies Workout Express according to the disability provisions of the contract. Susan at Matrix Acceptance ratified the acceptance of my medical verification of disability form signed by my doctor. then several months later Matrix Acceptance reported a collection account to the credit agencies and refuses to live by the terms of the contract.

I entered into a membership agreement with a Ladies Workout Express in Sacramento, which has now gone out of business. Ladies Workout Express is a franchise for Lady of America.

Several months later I expressed my desire to cancell my contract, according to the disability provisions of the contract, for disability reasons due to severe spinal damage.

I then received a call from a Susan, who represented to call from Ladies Work Out Express and told me I needed a Verification of Disability form signed by my doctor. My doctor submitted the form immediately, and Susan told me the form had met the disability requirement.

Well several months later Matrix Acceptance reported a a collection to the credit agencies for an amount exceeding the entire amount of the contract.

Now a year later, when I no longer even have the copy of the contract it would become a lot more difficult to resolve this issue.

Metrix Acceptance was dishonest and diceptive in their dealings.

Matrix Acceptance, Ladies Workout Express, Lady of America, and National Fitness Financial Services are a rip-off. I requested to cancel my membership agreement according to the disability provisions of the contract. Susan at NFFS ratified the acceptance of my verification of disability form signed by my doctor, and then several months later referred the account to Matrix Acceptance without contacting me. NFFS and Matrix Acceptance violated the Fair Credit Reporting practices by failing to notifying me that NFFS (the management company) had decided to enforce collection, and Matrix Acceptance (the collection company) by reporting a collection account to the credit bureau without notifying me of collection dispute or assignment of the account for collection. Both companies are owned by the same individual. Furthermore, within 18 months of the commencement of my membership the Sacramento location where I singed up closed its doors. Yet Matrix Acceptance is claiming a collection account for an amount that represents 36 months of membership, exactly 18 months beyond the time that the club closed its doors. There are overwhelming complaints against all four outfits and their fraudulent practices.
