Luxury cosmetics - Tresor Rare drugged me La Jolla California
I was approached by a representative of a business called "Tresore Rare" at 7874 Girard Ave. La Jolla, Ca. 92037, and offered a promotion for a free facial as I walked past the store. I made an appointment to redeem the offer for August 8, 2018. As I received the facial Gia, the representative, applied a multitude of creams and ointments that I trusted were safe. The process lasted approximately 1 and 1/2 hours. I began to feel extremely relaxed. Gia talked non-stop and very fast about the products dkuring the whole process. I requested that she not speak so rapidly numerous times, but she never slowed down her speech. Gia over complimented me numerious times. As she finished the facial Gia said something like "ok we are all set", and asked that I follow her to the front counter. At that time she asked for 5 of my credit cards so she could spread the total charge over the 5 cards. Never in my life have I had a merchant ask me for 5 cards. And never in my life would I have thought I would produce the cards withouta second thought. The total was not told to me and I had no idea what I was buying. I was in a completely altered state. I signed the credit card receipts and initialed where she indicated. Gia placed many products in 3 large bags. The bags were so heavy Gia had to place them in her vehicle and drive me and the bags over to my car.
It wasn't until the next morning that I felt more like myself and reviewed the receipts and realized I had bought "diamond infused snake venom" and 7 VIP facial treatments costing $10,500. Oddly, there were many products that she "gifted" to me. The receipt indicates that I received products worth $30,651 and she "gave" me a 68.65% discount. I called Gia immediately and I was very upset about the purchase but she said I had initialed on the receipt where it says "no refunds" and if she allowed the products to be returned she would be fired.
I looked up Tresor Rare on the Better Business Bureau to discover they had a D rating and they have changed their name 4 times in the last 5 years. A google search shows they have multiple 1 star reviews with the same experience almost exactly as I described. I felt as though I had intentionally beeen placed in an altered state or drugged and very much taken advantage of. I usually buy my moisturizer from Trader Joe's where I grocery shop. In my right state of mind I would never pay $15,000 for facial products and/or treatments.
The total amount charged was $15,085 spread over 5 cards, $3,017 on each card.
