I was hired by Mr. Liner of Liner's Security and Patrol for the job title of Operations Manager to "take over general managament responsibilities of the owner, Employee documentation, Payroll, and Scheduling."  In the Security Field, an Operations Manager' role is not to act as the General Manager, but I felt great sympathy for the state of Mr. Liner's mental health and the health of his beusiness and agreed to assist.  He stated he had a doctor's note from his psychritrist to have someone take over due to his state of his mental illinesses. 

Immediately on the first day of hire, Mr. Liner called and demanded that I find people to fill in as guards for a client.  I was concerned as with most businesses, one would verify and interview people first before placing them on a jobsite.  However as I would discover very quickly, Mr. Liner had trained his Management that reported to me to bring in people with zero documentation, BSIS verification, or even proper I-9 verification to work for cash under the table.  When I evaulated the company's current state of affairs, I discovered a level of corruption by Mr. Darryl Liner and his Managers I have never witnessed in the United States. 

Darryl Liner appeared to ail from dementia as I struggled to get him to sit still to train me or give me access to the tools I would need to sucessfully assist in his business.  Not only that, it took two weeks to get him to agree with my payrate and while I was working 60+ hours, he authorized only 20 hours.  I had to pay for my uniforms and was unable to offer new hires BSIS compliance uniforms due to Mr. Liner was unable to afford basic uniforms and supplies.  I had to pay for my own business cards, office supplies, and supplies in an attempt to overhual his lack of proper Employee Records.  When it came time for me to recieve a paycheck, he didn't even have my payroll set up and gave me a hand written check which bounced. 

Other employees had warned me that this was normal for Mr. Liner's handling and that I was already the 8th Operations Manager that year.  According to LeShawn Barnes, About three Operation managers prior had been clean with how the business was run like myself until Darryl placed her name on the bank rolls and 4,000 dollars disapeared.  The Operations Manager ultimately ended up filing for bankruptcy while Darryl magically had renovations completed on his kitchen according to LeShawn Barnes.  I attempted to bring this up to Mr. Liner in the precense of a witness, however he told me that he was firing LeShawn for bringing up lies.  As of this date, LeShawn Barnes still works for Liner's Security and Patrol. 

According to other employees, Mr. Liner was commonly known for changing payrates without notification.  I was skeptical at first but then experienced it for myself when he changed my witholdings and payrate from 20.00 an hour to 13.00 an hour and witholdings wen from married and filing 2 witholdings to single filing 0.  When i recieved this check, I voiced my concerns to both LeShawn barnes and Darryl Liner who both gave conflicting accounts.  It was LeShawn barnes which told me of prior labor lawsuits the company had faced and that Darryl Liner would harass and threaten employees for filing. 

I questioned Mr. Liner on the subject of this style of retaliation, and he became verbally abusive and defensive on the subject.  He threatened legal on me when I told him I needed to be paid correctly and then backed down when I told him I would be filing a report to both the IRS and California Labor board for mismagement of payroll.  According to texts from Mr. Liner, his supposed "lawyer" told him he can do changes to witholdings and payrate every time he feels like it (which for most employees was every week).  Mr. liner fixed his illegal modifications to my check with a hand written check that bounced due to his bank stating Non Sufficient Funds.  At this point, Mr. Liner has refused to respond to any and all of my attempts to contact him.

I was not the only employee that dealt with these situations.  According to David Cannon, his check bounced the week before and he needed help getting his money.  He stated that Darryl was refusing to pay him cash and I told him payroll is not to be completed under tha table.  When i spoke to Mr. Liner, he had a temper tantrum on the subject matter and stated he was "not going to pay David Cannon due to he was mad at him."  I had to explain to Mr. Liner that this is not appriopriate and he ultimately paid Mr. Cannon. 

I witnessed other employees who, as of this date, were hired by Darryl Liner and never saw a dime for work they completed.  Another employee had to contact me every paycheck to disclose improper changes to their payrate.  Mr. Liner approved for LeShawn Barnes and David Cannon to hire people under the table with no BSIS approved guard cards for several nightclubs.  I ultimately quit due to Mr. Liner's inappriopriate behavior was breaching ethical standards I would hope people who ran businesses would have.  I was uncomfortable and after seeing the lack of proper employee documentation, felt my own future would be impacted by Darryl liner's poor choices. 

Ultimately, I was scammed by Mr. Liner who claimed he hired me for Operations manager and then refused to train or give me the proper tools to do my job.  He then tried to lie that I wasn't hired for the position he hired me for and tried to pay me less than his guards - all my checks bounced at one point or another.  Mr. Liner has serious character flaws and has poisoned his management who have lasted 2 years+ to behave in the same disgusting behavior as himself.  Since my time spent with Darryl, I have had to seek credit monitoring due to unauthorized leak of my employee records.  As of this date, Mr. Liner refuses to answer my contact requests and I had witnessed him harass and threaten other former employees for speaking out.
