A company whose sincere intent was to be on the level with a return policy would not have a 'cannot return before this date' exclusion. When has anyone else ever been told by a hardware store, or any where else, 'Sure we'll give you a full refund; just come back in several months.' ? This company knows full well that it is a hassle to have to hold onto something for months without forgetting about it or without damaging the packaging, etc. and they count on it to sell their product that is priced well above others. Waiting you out is an old trick, and it is intentionally deceptive.

I also purchased chains at less schwab tire co and yes if you dont use them you can return them for a full refund but you have to wait until after the last legal day for studded tires of the year this sounds like it was just a missunderstanding by the customer

The receipt states that "if you don't use them you can return them in the spring after the last legal stud date for a full refund". Try to purchase a set elsewhere and return them! Nobody will do that! As for the employee just walking away, I don't think so. Les Schwab employees don't treat customers that way.
