LandMark Chevrolet was running a very interesting gimic this last week. $12,000 off MSRP on Tahoes in stock. Also in their radio advertisements they stated your trade may be worth retail. We wanted a new vehicle and went onto the GMAC website and pre-approved for $56,000.

We went to Land Mark Chevrolet armed with a copy of nada retail for our trade and the current pay off on our trade, and also a printout of the vehicle we wanted from their inventory. We found a very eager sales man, or shall I say scheister. We first gave him the printout of the vehicle we wanted, he went and found the keys and asked us did we want to drive, of course we did, he at that time asked for our keys so he could appraise our trade. Normal so far we thought. We got into the Tahoe we picked to find out it was a demo with 6200 miles on it.

There were coffee stains in many areas and scratches on the leather seats and on the steering wheel. For lack of a better word it was not a new vehicle. This vehicle was also priced as new, not as used. We liked the Tahoe but were not sold, but figured we could make a good deal as it was a demo. NOT SO!!!!! The low balled our trade, very low. See these folks quote you kelly blue book and turn around to sell your trade for nada retail or above. We figured out their game. Also the salesman was a nightmare. We told him what we wanted, he scribbled some figures and came back 15 minutes later. He told us he could do no better, then he ran out again, coming back with a new set of numbers.

THEY WERE THE EXACT SAME JUST ARRANGED DIFFERENTLY ON THE PAPER. I caught him in this game. I added up the numbers in front of his face and he was disgusted saying he did not have to sit there. WE politely asked for our keys to the vehicle we drove in. He want to get them from "his manager". After 30 minutes our keys were "missing." Turns out the a*****e had them in his pocket the whole time. The sales manager came over and asked us what made us mad, we left as fast as we could and thank God.

We went to another dealer who gave us exactly what we wanted on a very similar vehicle. NEVER EVER GO TO LANDMARK. THEY WILL TRY TO MANIPULATE YOU IN EVERY WAY. We did not tell my brother in law in time and now his is having problems dealing with them after a purchase. BUYER BEWARE. After all that we asked the sales guy what the "your trade may be worth retail" gimic was all about, he told us "oh that is just something we use to get you in here." PASS IT ON. ALWAYS BE PREPARED WHEN YOU GO TO BUY A NEW CAR IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY< EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS FREE ON THE INTERNET
