Lady of America Fitness Centers International Headquaters
Last year in Summer of 2001, My husband and I decided to become
self employeed so we looked into the Lady of America fitness centers franshise oppotunity we thought about me running the
business while my husband stay in his permanent Job, so we contated Headquaters and made an appoiment to research on this
great opportunity, so We to a plane and went to Florida at our
expense and we meet with each of the Head staff of the company from telemarketing all the way to the finane. We were asked to
pay more than $2,500.00 up front for credit application to Real
State operation to find a good location and shopping center near
our area, When we sign the forms it very clean stated that if we
were to back up on this We will be refunded only a portion of the
money that we paid and the rest will be kept for the time that
the company and the members spent with us looking for a location
and trying to get us approved, Well because of everything that
happend in our country on September 11,2001, my husband and I
decided to back up on this deal, so we contacted headquaters and
left several messages to Bill Landman who is responsable for the
finance part, we left him phone messages, email, sent certified
letters and got no response for month they have been ignoring us
and not respondeing to our messages it's been almost six month
and it seems like they don't want to refund our money so they just ignore our calls and they are always unavaliable, We moved
about three weeks ago to the above address, and we have a new
phone# 410-663-5605, but it's been only 3 weeks but anyways they
will always contact us at work so they just don't want to pay
what is due to us, Please Help us I don't think they should get
away with this, we try doing business with them with good faith
and we trust them for being a decent company but it turned out that they are a RIP OFF, and we have the right to back up on the
deal and get back our refund, Please HELP US, I Beg you please
reply to us, We are good working and Honest people who want to
work hard and do good but it's not fair the the Big companies
Rip Off good Honest people like us.

As Vice President of Lady of America Franchise Corporation I was very dissapointed to see that this report was filed against our company. An extensive amount of time and work has gone into selecting, negotiating and obtaining financing for Mr. & Mrs. Ferrer. Unfortunately, after all the time, effort and energy spent on this project the Ferrers elected not to tell us that they were no longer able to go through with this deal I personally spent countless hours on their behalf only to be deceived by them. They should have had the decency to contact me upon their first knowledge that they were moving. Using 911 as a reason to not follow through on their commitment is a poor excuse for the lack of consideration for the working man. William Landman Vice president [email protected]
