I purchased an LG Stove and refrigerator from Sears 11/23/2007. Within 6 months the knobs on the stove melted. They look like they are metal because they are wrapped in a cover but underneath the knobs are plastic knobs. They are not even heat resistant!!! It took me 6 months to get the knobs replaced!! They kept sending me the wrong knobs and I had to physically go into the store to bring them the knobs so they could see. Now my icemaker has gone out. When the Sears repairman came to my home he already had the icemaker with a receipt already pre printed. Yes, he knew the unit was defective. He advises there is a plastic piece in the icemaker that broke. It is the gear that forces the ice out. The repair to the icemaker cost me $340.11. Had I known how inferior these products were I wouldn't have purchased them. I should have checked with rip off reports before making my purchases!!! I see now there is another person with the knobs falling off the stove.

LG has a contract with Sears that they will not interfere with the warranty and will let Sears handle everything for them. Yes, I'll bet they will!! What better way to make money than servicing products with plastic parts you KNOW are going to break!!
