Complaint Review: Knotts Scary Farm - Buena Park California

I purchased 3 tickets to Knotts Scary Farm at a cost of $195.00 along with a parking pass at a cost of $20.00.  That is a total of $215.00 out of pocket for my daughters 16th birthday.

It took us over an hour to get into the facility to just park. At this point it is 7:45. Then it took 45 minutes to get into the park.  We are now at 8:30pm.  (what is the point of buying tickets ahead of time via online?)

We finally get into the park and go to the first maze we came upon "ForeverMore".  It took over an hour to get into the maze, where it was the lamest most UNscary maze I have ever been in.  I get more scared at home when my daughter pops out of somewhere.  The whole maze had approximately 15-20 NONscary employees and at one point they had to employees pretending to be at a rave and just bobbing back and forth.  It was not scary, nor were the "monsters" inside for they weren't in costume they only wore the same masks.  One of the rooms the cage was empty and it was only loud bird screeching noises.  I'm guessing the employee didn't show up for their post.  It is now approximately 9:45pm. After that we headed over the Pony Express Ride where we waiting about another hour and when that ride which lasts about 45 seconds, it is now 9:50pm we head over to get some food.  The food line was about an hour where we paid $50.00 for three hamburgers, two fries and two drinks!  THis is ridiculous.  As we are eating a "monster" approached us who smelled like B.O. and musty dirty clothes.  We told him to leave us alone so we could eat.  It is now about 11:15pm.  We head over to get in line for 0-80 ride.  We stood in line for 1.5 hours only to get up to last part of the line (kind of) and the ride broke and they said it wouldn't be fuctioning immediately.  Everyone left the line.  It is now 1:00am. We head over to the Boomarang ride where we stood in line for 2.5 hours only to have unruly teenagers climb over railings and kick people in a haste to meet their friends up at a higher level.  Some teenagers partying behind us are doing some sort of white powdery drug.  As we finally get up to what I am guessing would be our final hour in line a guy throws up in line, splashing everyone with his bile, not only did not one attendee or park employee do anything or remove the guy from line, the ride broke down and they informed us that the ride would be closing.  

At this point I was pissed off, fed up, disappointed and angry.  Myself and my two family members headed over to customer relations to discuss our trip.  Once inside there were two other groups that happened to go through the hell we did with the two same rides in a row.  The on duty Supervisor/Mgr was useless.  He was rude, yelling at us and acted like we didin't have a legitimate complaint.  I wanted my money back.  I spent $215.00 to not be scared at all.  The park claims to have 1000 ghouls and monsters and we honestly saw the same twenty monsters the whole time.  I spend $50.00 on burgers n fries.  I am now out of pocket $265.00 for the WORST TIME IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This park is ridiculous.  They over sell tickets to make the all mighty dollar, they are unorganized, unscary, and a total waste of time and money.  My daughters 16th birthday gift was a joke.   I along with the other two groups of two wanted our money back.  You cannot tell me that the park cannot afford to give approximately 7 people their money back for the horrific experience we had.  I was offered 3 tickets to come back to the park another time.  Like I want to come back! Really Knotts Berry Farm.  I will be sure and tell everyone I know that this park does not care about is patrons.  

I am disgusted and angry at the lack of customer service I received at a park that has been around for so many years.
