The husband purchased the kirby with his name only on the contract in which he is the responsible party. We have husbands and wifes try to cancel all the time because one wants it and the other doesn't so by law we can only deal with the person on the contract. In this case the wife was not on the contract. She did leave a message on the 3rd day at 7:00p.m on a Saturday saying she was going to return the Kirby. On the contract it states that to cancel the transaction you must sign, date and mail or deliver the cancelation notice before midnight on the 3rd day. We are only open untill 12pm on Saturday not at 7:00p.m. We have to have the signed and dated cancellation notice (that is on the copy that the customer has) for it be valid, because of situations in the past were spouses, friends, etc., try to cancel for others and the other party does not know about it. During this time no response was recived from husband. We did receive the copy of Contract but it was not signed or dated. Kind of fishy, huh? Wife called again and our company responded:we could not discuss the contract with her it has to be with the person on the contract. A man claiming to be the husband did call and left a message 1 week later.Stating to not call him at work, he doesn't get home untill 10p.m and we could talk to his wife,(pretty fishy again). Well were not open at 10:00 p.m.!Wife called again a few days later and was upset and we told her that the contract clearly states how to cancel the transaction. It does not say you can call and just cancel it.We still have the copy and its not signed or dated. She said she was in the millitary and did place a threat against us. Husband has not called and we could not get a hold of him. To sum it allup he is on the contract and he is the responsible one to handle this but could never get in contact with him.Why isn't he throughing a fit like his wife? Again pretty fishy!
