Kaplan University Never received my degree, says i owe more money, can't use my degree it is useless and not even a real degree Davenport IA
I was a student with Kaplan for 2 years. I did all my courses online. I decided to go with my associates instead of my bachelors degree. I finished my courses and was waiting for my degree to be mailed to me. I never received it. I called Kaplan asking where it was and they said they have it and are keeping it until I pay an additional $1200 for my courses.
I asked why I needed to pay more money when I actually shortened my time in school. They said it was from a class I took in my gi al semester. I told all my classes were done through an academic advisor with Kaplan and were all in my major plan. They were all approved and should of been covered. They still would not send me my degree even though the proof was right on the screen in front of them. That was 5 years ago. I am still fighting them for my degree. Plus my students loans keep increasing in amount.
I also found out that the degree is not even a degree. No company will accept it as a real degree. I was told it is a fake and I was scammed. I did not believe this until I started to research Kaplan and found out that I am not the only one who was scammed by them. Not only did I waste years of my life but now I am in debt of $20000 and it keeps rising. I want justice.
I feel that my journey was ripped from me. I was the first in my entire family to graduate college. It was a great accomplishment and now that was taken away. If I can help anyone from making this huge mistake then read my report and the many others they have scammed. Please stay away from Kaplan University. They lie and will take your money without blinking an eye. I hope someone fixes this.
