Below is the email that i had received from James Simpson, a sales manager at JNS Resources. This looked exactly like another email I had gotten from a different company, offering the same services. I was weary at first, but thought I would find out what this was about. James told me that all their leads come from direct telemarketing and the folks had expressed interest. My thoughts, how can 800 people be telemarketed and he is only charging .50 cents a name?? I am not an expert in minimum wage laws, but for someone to find 800 people, doesn't that require at least 40-50 hours of work. If minimum wage is around $6 per hour, that would be 133 interested individuals an hour. I assume that they didn't call 800 people and get a "yes, go ahead and have someone call me" from everyone of them. I have tried these programs before and I call 500 people to get maybe, 10 people that were willing to talk to me. I am, also, good when it comes to cold calling. I talked to a colleague of mine and they told me that the lists were junk. He tried it and had more disconnected and fax numbers than people interested. I contacted the BBB but they weren't registered and I contacted the State's Attorney, who told me I had to be a resident of MO. These leads are not qualified and this is a form of scamming that this individual is performing. It appears he stole another companies email, set up shop in his basement, and ordered leads off of Info USA. Order at your own risk.

Their age group is between 35 & 60, all confirmed homeowners, have 100K+ in annual income, and 500K+ invested currently out of state. This Group is $300
If you feel you could take on both groups, I can do both for $500

On another note, the advisor that you are impersonating, you claim is located in Napa CA, but the email you pasted in the complaint above that I supposedly sent you is targeted toward NJ. Now why would I send a proposal targeted towards NJ to an advisor located in CA?
Just more details that prove this is a fraudulent report and you are not who you say you are.

I have contacted ROR regarding the IP of the email I had received and asked if it matched up to the state it was claimed to be received from. They can not release the IP to me, I just know it doesn't match up to CA.
The"advisor" who reported this, Robert Green (Napa California USA) was contacted by email and phone and states he never filed a complaint on this site regarding our company and plans to take further action.

Whenever I see a rebuttal that claims to know the originating IP address of a Ripoff Report complaint, it starts ringing the alarms bells on my credibility meter. Care to tell us how you were able to determine the IP address of the original poster? It is not contained anywhere in the post and ROR won't give it to you without a subpeona.

My name is James Simpson. I am the sales manager for JNS Resources LLC.
The owner of JNS received a suspicious email on Dec 8th 2010. This email was submitted directly through the JNS website under the testimonial page. The email was submitted by someone claiming to be an advisor with LPL Financial. The individual was claiming to be upset that I sent a similar email to him that another company had sent him prior. This is the exact email we received on Dec 8th and can show proof of what was stated as following:

Feedback: James Simpson is sending out other companies emails and saying these people responded to them directly. The website says they are profiled base. If he does not stop this, RIP OFF REPORT.com is getting told.
First off I found it very strange that this individual had the same last name as me. I checked the LPL Financial website directory and could not find any advisor by the name of Jake Simpson or Jacob Simpson. I also contacted The LPL customer service directly and asked if there was an advisor by that name within their company and they informed me that there was not. I checked the IP address so see where the email came from and the location was in Bethalto IL. Again, I checked the LPL website and there is no LPL offices located anywhere near Bethalto IL. Another suspicious statement in this email is The website says they are profiled base. Nowhere on the JNS website is this stated or is in writing. After a suspicious phone call my receptionist received this morning asking for my personal information from a private number, I decided to check this site due to the previous threat.

I find it strange that the individual making this complaint not leave his or her name. Financial advisors will always leave their contact information especially in a case like this so other advisors can contact them. It is also strange that the individual who stated the lists were junk did not make this complaint themselves. Surprisingly I checked our sales records, and JNS does not have any LPL clients in the state of CA. JNS Resources is a newer company and is still awaiting approval for accreditation with the BBB. All of our documents and literature stated in the complaint were created by myself James Simpson and are protected under copyright through JNS resources LLC. JNS is a reputable company, with a quality product, & dedicated customer service.
I do not believe you are an advisor with LPL. If you are in fact an advisor with LPL, feel free to contact me directly and I will do whatever I can to resolve this issue.
The truth of this matter is you are another lead company (and I know who you are) that is in competition with JNS and are making false accusations in hopes of hurting our business. This is a childish and very immature way to present yourselves and handle your business.
Please find something more productive to do with your time and efforts.
