On their webpage, JK Harris makes the following statement...
"Far and away the (Nation's) most successful (in terms of size) tax resulution company." - The Wall Street Journal* more
The word more is underlined and you would have to click it to open a small statement regarding wall street journal's non endorsement of JK Harris & Co. Here is the complete statement...........

The first statement (far and away) is a very misleading statement. Really looks like the wall street journal is endorsing JK Harris as being far and away the nation's most successful tax resolution company. If you click on the "more", than you can read the 2nd statement.
Today was the first time that I ever opened the other statement (Please note). I did not know that this statement existed because it is hidden. Not too many are going to find this statement unless is brought to their attention. The intent of JK Harris & Co is to hide this statement. JK Harris & Co had to disclose the 2nd statement but did not disclose it on their webpage. It was on another page. JK Harris was required to put in the 2nd statement (Please note) but did it in such a sneaky manner. If both statements were together on the same webpge, it would not make sense. In the first statement, it appears that the wall street journal is endorsing JK Harris & Co. The 2nd statement (Please note) is about wall street journal's
non-endorsement of JK Harris & Co as being far and away the nation's most successful tax resolution company.
JK Harris & Co's intent was to mislead by hiding a required statement. There are many others that do not know about the (Please note) statement. Lets say that 10 potential clients went to JK Harris & Co's webpage. I say that none will find the "Please note" statement unless they were instructed to do so.
THis is an example of false, misleading advertising. Also, hiding a requireed statement on another page. Shame on JK Harris for using this kind of deceptive ads.

Recently, a former client of JK Harris came to our office for help to resolve their IRS tax matter and told us to check Ripoff Reports. We were surprised to find that so many clients of JK Harris are disgruntled. At this point, we can only hope those who see this posting will contact us to give us an opportunity to help them end their IRS nightmare. We stand ready to serve those who will give us the chance. Even though, we do not have their JK Harris file, there are ways to find out the status of a case with IRS. We have experienced taxpayers looking for a change of tax professionals. It takes an initial meeting or telephone conference with us to determine what progress has been made on their case and what needs to be done to see the matter to conclusion. Understandably, people are mad at having paid money and feeling nothing was done, but we will able to get past that. They will need to obtain the necessary funds for us to continue the work and see the IRS problem matter to ultimate resolution. Since we have done this before, we are quite certain that we can help. For tax practitioners who have not done this before, it might seem overwhelming to pick up a case in the middle and know what has happened in the past and know what needs to be done in the future to bring the matter to a successful close. Because we have done this before, and, therefore, have experience, its not so overwhelming and we welcome the opportunity. We realize that former clients of JK Harris feel that they have been burned and would certainly want to check out anyone they deal with in the future. We welcome that scrutiny.
