My husband, Todd, and i are a Gospel Group called "The Fisher's".
We have two tapes now. The first tape was duplicated by humingbird and they did a great job but took a long time. Well this second tape we had talked to the owner, John Foley, who had said we would have our tape by Christmas and if we paid up front we would get a 2% discount. That doesn't sound like much but it is a savings to us. He called many times wanting us to mail the money upfront. So we did. It was $2,000.00. Now we already have in it around 1500.00. So this became very expensive project.
Christmas came nothing no responds to email not a phone call... just like he avoided us. Then January he sent us a letter stating that he was under. If any one sued him we would get nothing back. But if we persued to sue he would take us all down and we would all lose.
Fine we felt bad thinking it must be aweful to go thru and lose everything like that. It has been a business for 17 years.
So now it is the end of march. I wrote and called him. The last letter i got was like it was a big joke. Well i need to get my things settled like my house even tho i know i might lose it to and then if i have money left over i will start paying those off that are involved in this. There was about 15 of us.
And i am guessing the money that we paid for our project went to someones elses and we lost out. I don't look to see anyof this and it upsets me that he laughs like it is a joke.
We sing at many churches and only recieve a love offering if even that. It is not necessary but that is how me make the money and put back into the ministry. So now we are broke. He is off scott free cause we are all afraid of hurting someone else. He said whoever would push this issue it would be there fault if no one else got there money back.
This is so hard to explain....
otherwise we just got ripped off cause he had to know when he took our money that he was going under. Right?
