Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

A customer of Hughesnet Satellite internet services since Nov of 2008, (way to long). I have never before bothered with the rating or reviewing of any company, even after I have had bad experiences, but this is a company that was able to rock my world and get me to share my many miserable experiences that I have been inflicted with over the past 4.5 years. You might ask why would one stay with the same company for so long? It was because of the trap and getting out without many other options to choose from is a helpless feeling and they will treat you like they know you have no other options.

If you like: being treated like your just a number, being treated like your incompetant, being treat like you don't have any rights, being treated like your time does not matter, being lied to, not understanding technical supports English, being ordered how you will do things to aquire their service or you will be monetarily penalized. Then this is your company!!

First of all you will be told that this is a high speed internet service, you will also be told that you have a limited amount of broadband before you are reduced down to a dial-up speed, this is "NOT" a correct statement. After you have reached your broadband plan limits you might as well accept the fact that you are done for the next 24+ hour period following. I never had a dial up service creep that slow, it is virtually useless once that limit is reached. Oh, but you do get free tokens you can use to return your service back to the high speed if you do reach that limit, and you will time and time again.

I will not address any one incident in particular, but I will say, that everytime I had to deal with this company (Hughesnet) for any reason at all, "the experience was way beyond disappointing". I could never recommend this kind of experience to anyone.

Finally I have found another high speed internet service option through one of the major phone companies, and does require phone land line, but it is high speed and does what was advertised.
