We lost our house a little over a year & a half ago & literally have been sleeping behind a church, we got thrown out of the cheap hotels in Springfield for the following places/reasons:

(1) Stevenson INN Motel, because we were paying 700 a month when we moved in & the owner knew we could afford it & kept upping the price we said something they got mad & threw us out we sued him for Illegal Eviction & was not allowed to return back there,

(2) Pioneer Motel, because we stayed there for months paying 450 my husband got shocked on the stove & told the owner he got mad & threw us out we filed a complaint with the health dept. & filed suit & won & was refused to return,

(3)Shamrock Motel, The owner owned Pioneer Motel & Shamrock and sold it to the person who now owns both properties,

(4) Quest Inn/(Now called Midtown) Illegally evicted sued & won, they are under new managment & still can't go back there,

(5) Red Roof Inn Because Micheal's Kidney failed & he was asleep & bled on the sheets due to his kidney & I cleaned the sheets up but the gentlemen who since left there seen me take the sheets to the laundry room & complained to the owner who also owns Super 8 motel, & they kicked him out of Springfield's location only can still go to any other Red Roof Inn in St. Louis, Chicago, Bloomington anywhere just not Springfield.

(6)Homestyle Inn because the owner that owns that hotel owns one of the other hotels that were barred from & refused to let us in there.

(7) We can still go to Lincoln's Lodge & Best Rest Inn but that's the only cheap hotels we can go to.

We choose to come here to HOJO because the staff was extremely friendly & had excellent workers things were going great I could've got an apartment but chose to stay here instead of paying for my rent to get my apartment & lost it but considering that I thought the owner's wife & the owner was mine & my husband's friend I was extremely loyal to these guys & ignored the fact that we could've got off the streets but chose to stay here for a couple weeks at a time & back on the streets a couple weeks but at least I was in a good friendly hotel with friendly owners/workers the rooms were trashy for the price except for room 100 but the friendliness outweighed that & I ignored that and kept coming here we stored our stuff mind you only 2 little bags & truth to be known I could've stored them with my husband's friends Joey's work @ Gallina's but once I have a friend you can ask my husband I'm extremely loyal to them & I was & still am loyal to them

I'm here now until tomorrow & I hate doing this but they've just been absolutely horrible to me lately which I'll get into in a minute but I spent well over a 1,000 dollars a month here & don't have nothing to show for it & don't care because that's what friends do there for one another & I'm there for them because even now I still consider them my friends which I'll get into in a minute but we stayed here the 25th, to the 30th of April & checked out on the 30th and checked back in on May 1 & have since been here ever since but now the owner is acting funny because I held my bags here & chewed my out because of it I told them I wouldn't come back here & that I could go back to Bloomington & truth to be known I will after how bad they've since been treating me I probably will and I'm getting really tired of it & anyway I went up to pay for today & was told by Rachel that I had to leave tomorrow when I stayed @ Hawthorn Suites they got packed & held our room anyway but this hotel is putting us out because there supposedly packed now mind you I spend tons of money here more money than I have & this is how they treat me outrageous & I'm making sure that everyone knows about how this hotel treats their best customers.
