HomEq is the worse company. They changed their name to HomEq from the "The Money Store" to try and mask their severly tainted reputation as "The Money Store". It is truly unfortunate that they are allowed to exist.

I understand the follow-up process to call when someone is late with payment, however, I do not understand why they have to take the rude and ignorant approach to attempting to resolve the matter. The attitude displayed by the Customer Service Reps and collection agents at HomEq is just not acceptable.

Yes, "whether we like it or not" some of us are stuck with HomEq because are mortgages were sold to them. But, standards you expect your customers to abide by? That's a joke! What standards could a company like HomEq possibly have? I'm sure there are many standards, public policy, laws, contracts and covenants-of-good faith and fair dealing that HomEq has,is and will continue to violate.

The simple truth is, the Customer Service Reps and collection agents at HomEq are people who have gone as far as they are going to go in life. They feel important and empowered by calling someone who is in a financial bind and harassing them and attempting to degrade them.

These idots at HomEq are too stupid to realize that someone not being able to make their payment on time, is more than likely having financially difficulty and may be embarassed by the situation. The state of the Economy is depressed at this time. What in the world will the employees of HomEq do when the Economy affects us all and vultures start circling them?

In a heated discussion with an employee at HomEq attempting to collect payment from me that was late, I was given unwanted advice on how to better manage my money and that I should drop out school to pay HomEq. When I asked for the employees name and his supervisors name. He then asked if I new how to spell, and some other demeaning things. It got really ugly and I was finally referred to the Supervisor.

The Supervisor's attitude confirmed why the employee acted the way he did. I then asked for his supervisor. I immediately got on the computer to write a letter, when my phone rang again, and it was the original employee that I spoke with to harass me further. I included this behavior in my letter. To date have not received a response. (2 years) I have also requested several times to be mailed a break down of my payment, showing how much is being paid to what.

I sent several letters to the better business bureau and consumer affairs about HomEq and finally got some crap that was suppose to be a break down of my payment and it was not.

I have since overcome my financial hardship and my HomEq bill is paid on time. I receive all type of advertisement to take other loans or refinance with them. I'd rather have the most miserable thing one could think of happen to me than to do any other business with HomEq.

I will continue to bad mouth them to anyone and everyone who will listen. I see from this website, I am not alone. Maybe some big important smartass, customer service rep or collection rep can respond and tell me how this type of behavior fits into customer service or makes good business sense?

The loosers at HomEq may be important and in control when then on the phone harassing people who are at a disadvantage for the moment, but they are not very business smart and will never be more than pitiful, wannabe somebody, loosers at HomEq.
