I want to complaint about the illiterate, uneducated people over in the insurance department for homeq. I closed my loan with Wachovia mortgage who I recently found out also owns homeq and I've had problem after problem since.

First of all, I have an escrow account set up to pay insurance and taxes. I received letters from the county tax office threatening to place a lien on my property because my taxes weren't paid from escrow. I called in to customer service only to have some person who spoke some variation of slang and broken English tell me first that it was paid, then that she was going to overnight a payment to the tax assessor. Which one is it? Did you pay it or not, come on you liars!!!

Secondly, my insurance agent called me because my insurance wasn't paid. Homeq told me it was a new loan and they should not have paid it. I refinanced my home with Wachovia not homeq and since my insurance was due in January and I closed on the refi in September it should have been paid with the money in escrow. I called in to customer service only to be told by a girl named Jennifer that she had to transfer me because she did not have my insurance information. I know that she was lying but only wanted to pass her problems to someone else.

I then get transferred to the insurance area, what a group of lunatics. After waiting for 30 mins through a message telling me that I had insurance from some company that costs $3,000 placed on my home and was paid from escrow instead of the insurance from my nationwide agent, I finally got some bimbo named Yolanda on the phone who couldn't tell me anything about why it wasn't paid.

I asked for a supervisor only to get another incompetent individual whose name I did not write down who basically blamed me and said that I should have told my insurance company to send the bill to homeq and that it was my fault and insurance was placed on the home to "secure homeq's interest in my property"

Finally after an hour on the phone with those people, I got the supervisor to promise me that she would get my insurance with my insurance company paid. I tell you those people are a ripoff. They didn't pay my insurance so they could tack on their own and charge me tremendously. I'm on to them though and if they pull that again they will be hearing from my attorney.
