I have rented videos from this store for over 5 years. It was a great store, with no problems. Lately since a new store director "Jaime" started problems started to arise. First I noticed how rude he was to the customers, employees and I wrote hollywood video about this and about a few other things that concerned me. I of course received a auto response saying they appreciated my input. Next, I feel I began to be subject of maybe a revenge plot or scam. I would go in to rent a movie and there would be a extra late viewing fee. Now, I'm no angel when it comes to turning in videos on time but I've never had a problem with paying those fees. My wife was the first to notice it. she asked which movies were late. they told her and she paid it. She told me that night something was wrong because she had turned those movies in 2 days early. This happened several times until a week ago they tried to tell me we didn't turn in a movie until 6:30 monday evening. Now that would have been impossible, unless I was having an out of body experience. because it was the only movie we had out, and I turned it in. I know I turned it in on Sunday not monday because I worked all day monday from 8am to past 11:30 pm. I knew for sure that I had caught them in a lie. I asked the store director "Jaime" how could that be and he said that noone else has ever complained about that happening before. after I questioned him for a few minutes about it he then contradicted himself by saying they haven't had very many complaints about that happening. I contacted Hollywood Video but I guess they don't care about long standing customers. I have witnessed "Jaime" the Store director, being rude and mean to customers and employees. If you don't believe me just ask one of the employees there or one of the many others who have left to go to other video stores to get away from him. "Jaime" told my wife and I to have an employee intial that we turned in the movies when we brought them in. I sent my son in tonight and "Jaime" refused to give him anything showing we turned the movie in. I then went in to confront him. He told me I needed my receipt for them to initial it. He didn't tell me this before and of course I didn't keep the reciept. Then he told me how he has tried to help us (riiight.....)and maybe we should find another video store to use.
