I bought a HiVal CD-ROM 40X IDE drive H40A-00R on 9/27/99, the same date that I sent off the mail in rebate for it. I was told to expect my money within 6 to 9 weeks. On 11/26/99, I attempted to reach HiVal rebate center by phone through their automated phone system. I left a message with the appropriate information. To my surprise, no one returned my call. A few days later, 11/28/99, I emailed the rebate department and received a response declaring that my check will be issued on 12/03/99. The US postal service told me to expect my check within two weeks. At the present time, I still have NOT received my check. It has been exactly 13 weeks and one day since I mailed in the rebate form. I am thoroughly disappointed and appalled at the way HiVal, as a company, handles its mail in rebates and the customer service department. The rebate check is for $20 and I fear that I won't ever see it since it's been so long. Plus ... they never returned any of my calls and they were always bussy.
