If you really want to be ripped off go to any of our competitors. They are making an hourly pay and could care less about your needs or concerns. If we don't know our products(which we do very well...because of extensive training on the products we sell)we don't make any money. Do you think the clerk at walmart cares if you buy a big screen TV or a camcorder? They don't. They could'nt even tell you what a CCD or a CRT is. As a matter of fact I asked a BB employee what the differences were in comb filters and he looked at me and said the ones with more letters did the best but he did'nt know how they worked. Well thats not even close to the answer I would want if I was buying a new Big Screen TV. The next time your in an h.h.Gregg showroom, just listen to some of the salesmen talking to other customers and ask yourself. Am I going to get this kind of commitment from anyone else? The answer is.....I doubt it! Find a salesman and keep going to him/her and build a relationship. Relationships are really what lifes about and without them you'll be bitter and lonely. I would like to say it has truely been an honor working for such a great company these past four years... And lastly. We are people too. Treat us with the same level of commitment and honesty that you want to be treated with yourself, because we have feelings and we do our homework on the competition. Only you can make your payments to the creditor. If you can't find your payment receipts your not being honest with yourself. Godbless everyone.

To all, and to the person who's mother bought a tv from H.H.GREGG. You say your total came to almost $800! If your to cheap to buy a nice TV go to Wal-Mart. 32" tv's can cost anywhere from $350 to $1500 HHGregg has the lowest prices around so don't act like you paid to much, because you didn't.
As far as the warrenty goes that's an option she chose when she bought her tv, so if she didn't want to take advantage of an extended warrenty she didn't have to. You also say they claim to have recieved your final payment late. DON'T WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE TO MAIL YOUR PAYMENT.
To all who puchused products with out buying an extended warrenty if your tv or whatever you bought broke CONTACT THE COMPANY WHO MADE IT. Your Tv is not a H.H. GREGG TV. Every coment that is on the rip off report is not legitament.
Are you NEVER SATISFIED what more do you want! H.H.GREGG has the lowest price around, if you find it lower some place else after you purchuse a product they will give you double the difference.
No one else in the country does that, they will match any price, and they carry a wider selection than anyone, and carry superior products. If you have any other complaints feel free to e-mail me, you are NEVER SATISFIED thats your fault don't deface the name of the fastest growing electronics retailer in the nation!

After looking at the dates the check was mailed, not enough time was allowed to receive&Post to your account.
6th Feb is Weds If not in post office by Am, likely went out in PM hrs.
GE would have to receive by11th to post.U have allowed 3 working days.I would allow 5_7days for mail to large Companies with tons of mail.
Call GE and ask for Managment I find it rather unsual for company to do this on purpose.
But pay the bill if you have to.
Bruce Williams has tried to years to get the date of posting , not the date they received it.

I recently read the report about the fellow that complained on behave of his mother. After reading that I did a little research myself since I purchased a tv from Ultimate Electronics in Phoenix Az. about 6 months ago. I too had 0% financing if I paid my purchase off in 1 year. I would like to pay it off early so I called to get a pay off because the statement I get is usally very confusing. They had been charging me finance charges for 3 months now, saying that the place I purchased from only put 3 months on the contract. Well, I had all of my papers right in front of me. So I challenged them with this. They argued with me for about 10 min. then decided to drop the charges, but would not give me a payoff amount. They said I'd have to wait til my next statement. I told them I wanted it now because my next payment is due in 2 weeks. They refused to give me the pay off. So I hung up with them. I got out my contract and listed all of my payment dates and check numbers and amounts. I will try again tomorrow. This is a very shady credit company. And comsumers BEWARE. Keep track of your payments. And don't take there run around on the phone.

I would like to suggest to the gentleman who is representing his mother in regard to HHGregg and GE Capital that he file a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General.
Many companies engage in this practice. Credit card companies are notorious for it. One company that I recall being nabbed was First USA.
Why the Attorney General? They have the ability to deal with these matters across state lines and they will investigate - I know.
Merely filing a complaint will most likely cause GE Capital to drop their demand for payment.

This email is a rebuttal to RipOff #4505.
It was sent by Matt at [email protected].
HHGregg/GE Capital Cons Cardco Bad Reception TV Rip-off *UPDATE (#4505)
They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:
Their email: [email protected]
Their name: Matt
Their relationship to the company: Supporter
Rebuttal:
In regards to the above statements, I am deeply sorry you both were treated in such a manor but I wante dto let you know that it is not hhgregg that is trying to get the extra money out of you. I am a big supporter of hhgregg and I know EXACTLY how their system works. G.E. Capitol is not the best company to get finance through, however, if you wants something purchased with 12 months same as cash from hhgregg, you have to deal with G.E. Capitol. hhgregg gets their money as SOON as you swipe that card, from there on out, G.E. Capitol is villian. hhgregg sells
you the product, smiles, says thank you and says good bye.
That's the end of your involvment with them until you have a problem with your product, then they fix it for you. They have THE largest service department in the midwest. There are licensed technicians and friendly people. They aren't money grubbers.

In regards to the article referenced above, the same thing happened to me about 2yrs ago. In my case I sent my last payment by overnight mail to arrive the day before it was due. Yet, they claimed they didn't receive my last payment until the following week, and charged me the full finance charge for the past year. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the post office receipt that proved I sent it overnight. GE Capital Cons would not budge and treated me rudely. I eventually gave up...
